The rooms at the back called "superior" were anything but superior. The back rooms look out on air-conditioner units, old units with parts lying around. Even in daylight, the rooms are dark and dingy. The space between the window and the farthest part of the a/c units is about 6 feet. The housekeeping left a lot to be desired. The rubber bath mat was full of mold. The bathroom itself needed a good cleaning. I reported this to the Manager and he moved me to a front room. This had a street view and I could see daylight-much better. White towels were grey and not always provided without asking for them. The bed was excellent. Location was vey good. The rooftop lounge was under renovation and closed. This would have been nice if it were available. Staff were helpful. If you stay here, ask for a front room only.

From the moment we stepped down from the cab, we immediately felt we were not welcome. The doorman did not even bother to help us with our luggage. The lobby was littered with old boxes and the carpet was dirty. The rooms are old, the wood laminates on the floor were peeling and the TV is circa-mid 1990s. The room temperature did not go down 28degrees. The only benefit this hotel brings is its proximity to Makati Business District. Better bring your money somewhere else.

I stayed here last Jan. 6 - 8 ,2012. I managed to get a free room coupon from a friend so I'm not sure how much the room costs but i'd assume its around 3-4,000 pesos or about 80USD per night.

Pros:
1. Location. Great location in Makati City! Right in the heart of it. 1min. walk to Glorietta and SM mall and about 5-10mins walk to Greenbelt. So the malls are well in very short walking distances. plus there's a convenience store just beside the hotel making it very easy to grab some snacks, water and other crucial supplies.
2. Room was pretty decent with a desk, closet, hot shower, the usual.
3. Free Wifi , pretty good speed.

Cons;
1. No view from your window. your window only shows a light well. (don't expect to see the buzzling city on this one)
2. Very old TV. They should invest in getting those flat screen TVs even the LCD ones, I'm sure it wont cost that much nowadays. The Old TV looks like its from the 90s.
3. Dirty Shower Mat. (please look at the photo I posted with this review) just plain disappointing. I didn't using it due to hygiene purposes.

Overall, I think its a pretty okay hotel if you want something in Makati and that the malls are all within walking distance. If you want to go for something cheaper and more practical, I suggest you stay in GoHotel located EDSA ave. cor Pioneer st.. You can get a clean, modern room for less than half the price Crown Regency charges. GoHotel charges about 1,000-1,500 pesos or 30-40 USD a night. Hope this review helps!

I was here during large brownouts in Metro Manila due to typhoon. I was forced to find hotel with internet and electricity. After several tries I booked Regency mostly because of affordable pricing.

It's in a good place near Greenbelt and walking distance to all malls. Hotel is small and there is only few parking spaces in front which is a minus for me, nothing fancy about the breakfast and rooms are already "oldish". For me this hotel needs a renovation and modern touch.
