I guess my hotel review is slightly flavoured by the fantastic time we had in Puno.

Rather than depart with our tour group to the floating islands, after our first night here we decided to stay here an extra couple of nights then rejoin the tour. We thought the place was clean, and the staff were helpful, bearing in mind we're not 'demanding' customers.

We also lucked out because on one of the extra nights, the once a year festival for Uni student faculties (televised live!) circled the plaza for 9 hours, yep 9 hours. Some wonderful photos, like a mini-carnivale. That occured on 27 October. We really enjoyed our few days at this hotel.

We stayed here for one night only as part of our trip to Lake Titicaca. The room was large, clean and comfortable with adequate facilities including Wifi and TV. The breakfast was slightly disappointing having had good experiences elsewhere throughout our 3 week tour of Peru. The staff did not replenish the buffet breakfast quickly enough and we had to wait while supplies were brought. The location is very good with easy access to downtown and all the tourist sights.

Hotel is close to the 'tourtst street' you want to be on, so thats a plus. Rooms are large and very nice. Free Wifi is good as well. Two things I didnt like were, 1. Breakfasts are very basic, they didnt even have eggs on one of the mornings. 2. We asked to be woken up and the call was never made. That could completely ruin your day, fortunately our other friends woke up and they woke us up (they didnt get their call either)

I stayed here as part of a Gap Adevntures tour (Quest of the Gods) and it was very average and most definitely not 4 star as advertised. The room was a good size with a television and wifi and was fairly clean. The bathroom was very disappointing; it flooded every time we took a shower and when we told the staff at reception, they were not helpful at all. They didn't offer to fix it or to change our room, and when we asked to change room, no effort was made to accomodate us; we were met with "not possible". The best they could do was wipe up the flood after our showers which was incovenient.
