I would like to point out that the reception staff and the Manager of this hotel were most helpful when my husband left his credit card in an ATM. The receptionist rang up the Manager at 10;30 in the evening and he was in the hotel within minutes. The next day whilst we were touring Lake Titicaca, the Manager went to the bank to try and retrieve the card. Unfortunately the bank destroyed the card as they said it was a foreign card. All in all I would recommend this hotel especially if you are given a special price like we were given as we were only charged US $ 44.65 per double room per night. We loved the breakfast which is served from 06.15 in the morning for those who were going to get picked up at 7 am for the Lake Titicaca Tour.

WE stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in october, and could not have been more pleased. It is centrally located, and more elegant than we expected. The rooms are very nice, with marble bathrooms. We had several meals in the restaurant, and they were very good. The buffet breakfast, with the best rolls we had in Peru, was wonderful.
The staff in both the hotel and the restaurant were unusually accomodating and friendly. We left at 6 am. and instead of providing only coffee and juice, the staff came in earlky and prepared a full breakfast for us. A really nice place,a nd a good value.

The room was clean, nice to have TV for the only time on our trip, lots of extra like soap and a mint by the bed. The hotel has character and the staff were semi-helpful (Maximo the bell hop also served breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, what a great guy!). The location was a little far from the main square but nice and close to the central market. Great travel agency right across the street (All Ways).

We stayed here for 2 nights recuperating from a long train journey from Cusco, and before embarking on an even more tiring bus journey to Arequipa. The hotel is well-located and a very elegant building. The staff are helpful and speak English. The beds are comfortable and we had a good nights sleep with no noise to bother us- something we were very much in need of at that point in our travels. The food was really good. I had something called My Grandmothers soup in the restaurant and it was outstanding. As the hotel is owned by a Belgian, it was more like French cooking that Peruvian. My only complaints would be that there were very few TV stations available even though they advertised cable TV; and the water temperature in the shower was uneven, but that is not unusual for Peru.
