We arrived in Puno in the early afternoon via bus (coach) and was in need of sleep and rest to acclimatize. A rep from the hotel met us at the bus station and took us to the hotel in a taxi. We were given our room immediately and we headed up to rest. The room was big as were the beds within. Hot water was available just at the stair way next to our room so we could make our own tea as and when we wished. Bathroom was clean and I appreciated the white tiles. There was constant hot water in the shower all day and night which was great in the cold. Though there was only the faintest of mildew smell (something my air freshener zipped away rapidly) our stay there was comfortable enough and very good value for money. Great location too, just a short walk to the main square. Breakfast was good and the staff were helpful with all our needs and requests

This hotel is located in the very center of Puno, 2 min from the plaza de Armas / main square.
It is quite new and looked very good. Rooms were nice with a big bathroom, hot shower, TV, a good bed and very good working Wifi.
Breakfast was awesome as there was a buffet consisting of everything you can imagine: different bread, marmalade, different cheese, honey, cake, different yoghurts, eggs….
Unfortunately we had a room facing to the street for the first night, which was quite annoying as there is a discotheque nearby. And as soon as the noise stops at 5:00am you get wake-up honks by the passing taxis in the morning.
Staff was really nice as they immediately provided another better room facing to the interior without arguing.
It also was very secure as there was always a security guide at the entrance at nighttime as well as at daytime

A really good choice for Puno

This hotel was a real bargain. Situated in close proximity to main square and other tourist attractions. This establishment had spacious rooms, good bedding and bathrooms were good as well. breakfast was great, decor was interesting and my teenager enjoyed the internet. the staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my stay here.

Hotel was near the city center and cost only 3 soles from the bus stop (7-8 min taxi ride). The hotel was nicely decorated and has several cozy sitting areas where you can drink coffee or coca tea. You can also find computer for internet access. The lady at the front desk was quite helpful. We were given a 3rd floor room (306) and it was spacious and comfortable. However, the noises at night, because the location of the hotel is at the corner of two busy streets, were a big problem. My husband didn't get enough sleep because of that. I slept better because I wore ear plugs.

For dinner recommendation we were recommended "La Casona" which is only a few blocks away on the main street but it was really mediocre - definitely not recommend it!
