“Highly Recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

A very peaceful spot not far from busy Panama City. The house is surrounded with a lush tropical yard. The house is large enough to accommodate a large group yet small enough to provide privacy for a couple. I would definitely splurge for the large room with balcony. The wine selection is extensive and reasonably priced. Food is very good. Easy access to the beach which across one lane path is very accessible. I am not a big bird watcher but the variety of birds was amazing. I walked down the path a short distance and saw many birds. Noreiga's old abandoned beach house is next door! The only complaint would be the bed linens could be upgraded.

Room Tip: If you are a couple I suggest booking the large room with balcony and palm ceiling. The sliding doo...

“Relaxing vacation, at the house, in the pool and on the beach....”

The house and the grounds are very well appointed for a relaxing and mostly secluded vacation. The house is modern with great beds, baths, and a superb kitchen for wonderful meals. The house has wifi, tv and many books for really relaxing. The gardens are beautiful with wonderful plants and several large mango trees that supply ample fresh fruit. The breakfast was included and was varied with something for everyone, fresh fruit, breads, cheeses, juice, coffee, teas, eggs and meats.
The kitchen was open for our use to prepare lunches and dinner for the 12-15 family members during our stay. Well equipped. The openness of the kitchen was a great opportunity for all of the family to contribute to each meal and enjoy each other during the stay. A complement to Casa Guardia for making it easy for us to cook our main meals.
The pool is clean and overlooks the beach. Very convenient for fresh water or salt water bathing. Nice beach and wonderful walking to a nearby resort (if you must) or to watch the fishing boats unload their catch.
Perfect for large families looking for a wonderful place to stay for all ages (we ranged from 16 - 83) with great conveniences, easy access for wheel chair and enough space to just hang out. Yes, there was more there to do if only we could muster the energy to leave the grounds.
Having vacationed in Costa Rica, Australia, Peru, Alaska, Spain and even southern California I would offer only one complaint about Casa Guardia.....there was absolutely nothing, nothing to complain about! Excellent facilities, excellent breakfasts (other meals available), excellent staff. The photos truly depict what you will experience during your stay.
