Hi,
I stayed at Ruwi for 3 nights. The hotel is located a taxi/drive away from main attractions, however it is convenient to get on freeways to go out of town if you have a car. I also found it handy to explore Muscat, Muttrah and Al-Qurum beach, as the hotel is smack half way between these towns.

Reception stuff have been helpful and even found me a car to rent. the rental company brought the car to the hotel for me.

I was busy in the city and wanted to relax so I went directly to the hotel. With the price of the room, it is just fine. A clean hotel with ample storage space in the room. I was in the sixth floor which was quiet. Although the toilet was old but it was clean and the WC was a new one. The hotel is located very close to the busy Ruwi high street where various types of shops are available. Clinics, hospitals, malls are close to this hotel. Buses and taxes are easily available 2-5 minutes’ walk.

I checked in the morning at 0920 and checked out in mid night.

all services and room are good . never faced any problem from any point. food in hote is very good. room size is really good. see facing room are specially good , It is located in town. I can go for purchace any time in evening or in morning.

Ruwi Hotel won't be an unforgettable experience, but it will definitely meet your needs and be a decent hotel for your stay in Oman.

The room, bed and showers were all clean. Wifi in rooms and lobby, ample parking. The staff wasn't the friendliest I have ever encountered, but would receive passing marks. If you're driving, it is very accesible from Ruwi R/A and only minutes from the Mattrah Corniche. Plenty of resurants within walking distance, if you like Indian food.

I traveled with my mom, and her concern is that there didn't seem to be many women staying in the hotel. She didn't feel uncomfortable, but she didn't understand if there was something we were missing. The only women we saw the entire time were the singers(?) from the bar, who all appeared to be from SE Asia wearing clothes that weren't exactly culture-appropriate walking around.

Breakfast, which isn't included, is expensive and below average. ~$9US per person. Make sure to look over your room bills, as we were charged for a dinner meal that we didn't eat. When brought to her attention, the receptionist produced the receipt from the charge from the cafe with my name on it, but not surprisingly lacked my authorizing signature.

Not a bad hotel, not at all. I think I would try something different next time in Oman, however.
