Stayed one night instead of three as owner so unfriendly and arrogant on arrival. Hotel clean but clinical and cold. An attitude of uncaring to tired and paying customers. No attempt made to sort out incorrect booking. Other staff fine and helpful but sadly they have no power.

This hotel was very nice. We had one of the basic rooms and I would liken it to the standard of a Protea hotel in South Africa, always clean, 'does exactly what it says on the tin'. Good range of breakfast items. Quiet residential area. With a bakkie, it did not matter whether we were 'close' to Swakopmund centre or not. Parking needs to be improved as certain rooms do not have parking in the gated area but on the side of the building adjoining the beach.

We spent a lot of time trying to figure out where to stay in Swakopmund. We were going to stay at Hansa in town and I must say I'm glad we didn't.
This lodge is not right in town but close enough. It's right on the beach on a residential street so very quiet. The beach environment is beautiful and nice to take walks in the morning and evening. The patios are right over the beach and very close to the water. The port hole windows are great to watch the sunset and sunrise, as is the view from the restaurant. We had a GREAT meal at the restaurant - very impressed. The service was friendly and good. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful - we had left a credit card at an establishment 3 hours north and she helped us make arrangements for a truck driver to drop it off in Hentiesbay for us. I really enjoyed my stay.

Stayed in the lodge for 3 nights as a family with teenagers. Great views from the rooms through big windows close to the shore. A fantastic place for people who love the sea like we do. Service was very helpful in any aspects - we got a table in the fully booked restaurant without any pre-reservation, the lodge organized a fantastic tour to Sandwich Harbor and a boat-tour visiting the seals and the dolphins for us on very short notice. The only thing you really should bear in mind - it is definitely not in 'walking distance' to downtown Swakopmund (as some travel-guides are stating) what makes the logistics a little complicate as we didn't want to leave the car parked in town without a guard.
