We spent two weeks here at the end of April and had a great time. The rooms were clean & tidy although a little dated and the view over the beach was great (just make sure you don't get a room in the block that overlooks the road).

Couldn't fault the restaurant & bar staff who were all very friendly and helpful. If the hotel is full the restaurant can become very busy in the evening & you may have to wait a while for a table (the most we had to wait was around 20 minutes). Some people have complained about the AI only being from 11am - 11pm but we didn't have a problem with this as you could just get some bottles of water evening & put them in the fridge in your room.

Evening entertainment was very limited (although Kenny with his acoustic guitar taking requests at your table was great) and people would generally hang around the bar or just go back to their rooms.
The beach was great and you could walk for miles if you wanted to. Sunbeds were pretty uncomfortable (seems to be the case in so many hotels) and the flies could be really annoying.

All in all a great holiday & would definitely come back to the hotel. If you come here expecting 5 star luxury you will be disappointed but as a 3.5/4 star hotel it's very good.

We stayed here last two weeks in April, overall had a nice holiday, hotel has fantastic sea views, rooms were very clean, staff were very friendly, good service. The only negative thing I would say was that the second week the food got a bit 'samey'. They have a different themed buffet every night but to be honest the food was pretty much the same night after night! We did start ordering different things from the menu which you could do if you were all inclusive, you could have certain things but other things you would need to pay for. The entertainment was ok, nothing to write home about. We met some nice people, the hotel was quite small and it was nice to talk to people at the bar, a lot of people seemed to disappear after dinner, there was only the bar area to go to, overall we enjoyed it, weather was mostly good and although it is a long flight, Air Mauritius were ok, we had no complaints about the flights at all. Definitely miss looking at the lovely sea view. If you are planning to go to Mauritius definitely go walking with the lions, an amazing experience, not cheap but well worth it, great guys at the Casela Nature Park and buy the dvd they record on the walk, great souvenir!

Its an average hotel, though few staff members are good their service is not up to the satisfactory mark. Internet facility is very poor. Breakpast, lunch and dinner is ok for vegiterians as well but its ok if it is part of package otherwise it will be very costly.

There are only 70 something rooms which makes a more friendly atmosphere with staff and guests.Staff were brilliant, happy ,couldnt do enough for you and it came across as very genuine .Nice comfortable room, most facing the sea so you canwatch the sun set!Food good with buffet lunch and dinner, the only themed food we didnt like was the re take on chineese which was dissapointing we did notice 2nd week several people opting for something from the menu also available to all inclusive that night.
Drinks wise beer ok,spirits ok,limited coctails not great ,juice ok,coffee ok,ask for black lable tea ! DO GET YOUR WATER before you go to bed because you can only get drinks after 11 o clock in the morning. This is also a problem if you arrive early as we did !
Not too much of a problem getting sunbeds although not all have parasoles they could do with being replaced as some were worn!!
We went on two trips organised by the mercury rep who seemed unorganised and not very good at explaining things. On our 2nd trip of the south of the island we were left outside a restaurant in the middle of nowhere as ano ther couple from a different hotel prepaid for a meal,we didnt know this so had a pack lunch! Luckily there was another couple from our hotel in the same position so we ate at a viewing area then went back to the restaurant with them and had a drink there whilst admiring the view and ended up having a good laugh!
Hotel entertainment wasnt that great mostly every other night between 9.30 to 11 ish. Most guests seemed to dissapear dinner ,the rest of us congregating round the bar or sitting at a few tables round the pool. You could however stay sat in the restaurant area if you wished.
All in all a great place to stay for the price not really 4 stars although they probably deserve it for the service.

overall a good holiday. restaurant and bar staff very friendly, hotel nice rooms good, we were not impressed on first arrival, after leaving home and arriving at 9 30am after a 20 hour journey,we asked for some water we were told we would have to pay for it, we asked if we could go to breakfast, only if we paid, all inclusive starts at 1pm, are argument was on our last day we had to leave at 5 45am, so we wouldn't be having breakfast or drinks that day. so where is the give and take? We traveled with Mercury Direct, the brochure said mini bar in room also half hour free massage. No both items were took out of the contract last year. Mercury direct never informed us of this.
Food was OK if you like everything tasting of curry.always look on menu in morning ,if you dont like it then you can ask for something different, that's if you don't mind waiting.Breakfast was very good

As I say hotel was nice right on the beach . Glad I went but wont be returning, I expected to get the WOW factor on Mauritius but it never came.

Room tip: we stayed in 201 and 202 middle floor next to reception, overlooking pool and sea very nice views ,you couldnt hear any noise
