Very friendly and warm hotel, good location at city center, although cleanliness need to improve,especially the tiolet

I stayed here after recommendation from a friend. I was travelling solo. So, this is the right place to stay. This hostel is centrally located to just everywhere - Jesselton Point (where you board on speedboats to the Tunku Abdul Rahman Park), Philippines Market (where you buy pearls, fridge magnets, t-shirts and other souvenirs), the wet markets (where I bought the bright red spicy chilies), Gaya Flee Market (only available on Sundays. I missed this) and lots of Chinese coffee shops (for breakfast) and banks (to withdraw money). There is complimentary internet access and WiFi too. Filtered water and a clean kitchen to make your own meal. A cozy lounge to rest while admiring the traffic at the main street. Highly recommended for budget travellers.

I stayed for 3 nights, this being my 2nd time staying here. Since my 1st stay here in 2008, a new lounge was added and the place now feels more spacious. It's a convenient place, near to the main areas and about 10 minutes walk to the pier where you can take the boat to the nearby islands (excellent beaches on all, but Sapi Island is my favourite). I opted for the free airport pickup and I was picked up punctually.
