We stayed here for one night. We took one look at our 'windowless' room and decided to switch to a room with a window. The windowless rooms smelt like disinfectant and very sterile. The only redeeming feature of the other room was that it had a window and a small balcony. The location is good but then KK is a small place and you can easily find better hotels than this. The bar downstairs (Beach Cafe) was good to relax at but the karaoke was dubious depending on the performers. If you want an early night then this isnt the place as the music went on til after 11:15pm. Our room which faced the bar, had 'windows' that left a little gap open which meant you could hear all the noise overnight. The room was also unclean, we had bed bugs! The TV didnt work (well, there was plug located on the ceiling where it could be turned on, but we didnt have a ladder handy). The floors were dirty and we counted at least 9 spiders in the room and in the shower. The stairwell to exit the rooms was also gungy. Definitely not recommended.

in a double private room which is fine. checked in this afternoon. Music outside stopped about 11pm, was down there and the atmosphere was good. major downside so far is the bed bug which greeted us on out arrival back 2night. might move 2moro as a result

Summery of rainforest lodge
Save your $10 a night and buy a packet of cigarettes and sleep on the beach, it's better for your health.

This is 2 star lodge (claimed by their receptionist) with 3 cafes nearby which is SugarBun Cafe, Rainforest Cafe and BB Cafe. It's located in the heart of city centre so not a good options if you tend to have a cozy and quiet place.

The family room is not clean and the toilet is dirty.The toilet door is spoil too. We complaint about it and there is some improvements from them. Besides, we need to always go to receptionist area to ask for toilet papers (It is ridiculous). The TV can be watched on first day of stay only. It is near a dining bar so it is quite noisy at night. We couldn't sleep at all at night so it is not a good choice for family trip. But it depends on visitors if you like to have some music during nightime then it's your choice.

However, there is a balcony for the room. So you can have leisure time at there. The room rates is affordable as there is promotion during our stay. It's 50% off for 2nd day stay. The breakfast is poor but you can't complain as it's just a budget lodge. It is near taxi station and bus terminals. There is one supermarket just opposite of the lodge.

Overall, I don't recommend it to visitors who want to have a leisure and relax trip.
