“A Very Dissapointing Hotel.”

Lousiest hotel i been to, basically i will stayed here like 2-night every month for bussiness purpose. Dissapointed with the condition of the hotel basically, new hotel but it seems like it going to torn apart anytime soon. Trying so hard to look like a prestige hotel but yet you can see floor crack, wallpaper torn, toilet disorder and many more. Dont let me start with the laundry, you actually can feel as if they just re-iron it, you still can smell your perfume on it, literally. Smelly room, i dont think they even bother to change the bedsheet. Quite sad when you dont see any changes after lots of complaint been filed. Location bad, far from town and the cab is a ripped-off.

“2nd Stay & This Time is BAD!!!”

As mention on the title, why it is BAD this time:

I only spend a night stay here. I requested for a morning call for the next day at 11am. Got a call at 10am & no one is responding on the other side. I just hang up the phone, look at the clock & continue my sleep. At 11am another call comes in & I answer the call. No one again is responding. This happen another 2 more calls. On the 4th & 5th call I decided not to answer the phone & off for my shower. During my shower, I heard someone knocking on my door & did not answer the door. About 11.45am another call comes in & I was not able to answer the call as I was busy packing my luggage. About 5 minutes later, someone knocking at the door & I answer the door. It was a Caucasian lady from the Front Desk asking me am I extending my stay & I reply no. At this point I have decided this gonna be my last stay at this hotel. Check out time is at 1200noon & already before 1200noon staff in this hotel is chasing away customer like me to leave the hotel. I would NEVER return for even a night stay for this experience.

“Friendly smile...”

Front desk staff helpful, polite and friendly...
When I always pass by the lobby area, I can hear their greeting to me from far away...
I like the front desk staff because they have very friendly smile...
I read all the advise here after I booked this hotel firstly make me feel regret, but after I visit here, I was satisfied it because the staff not that worse as what been commented...

“Attitude problem”

The room facilities not as I expected,tv channel is not as standard as international chain, the wallpaper in room, was not proper, the bath up has black stain here and there, it's annoy me so much, and the most terrible thing is their staff attitude is poor, I don't know why, is it because we are Indonesian people? It is so unprofessional.
We called the receptionist at around 11.30 asked for late check out until 13.00(which is I can have it in so many accor hotels) but the receptionist staff said, can give us only until 12.30. The phone rang twice at around 12.00, but I'm busy prepare my baggage, so I didn't pick it up. And someone came to my room, knock my door and I open it, she asked me whether I'm going to extend my room or not, I said no and reconfirm again that we asked already for late c/o till 12.30. And she said again, why don't u pick up the phone with the high tone voice and rude. I don't think it's necessary to ask that thing to me.
At 12.45 when I'm about to go to the lobby, the phone rang again, this time she thread me if I'm not c/o more than 13.00, then the system will automatically charge me RM150, which is I know there's no such thing, bcoz me myself is hotelier also. I know how the system works.
I wrote guest comment also to the GM, but I'm not sure that letter will sending to him.
So overall I will not recommend this Novotel Kinabalu to all of my friend and colleague.
