“Standard backpacker hotel”

I stayed here for 4 nights and you get what you pay for. The room was pretty average with air-con and a telly (that was very temperamental). However, the bathroom was pretty gross, not somewhere where you would like to have a long shower. The bed was standard - quite hard.


The staff there were nice though and I think I paid around £8/10 for a night so as mentioned above, for what I got, it wasn't bad.

Oasis hotel was a good hotel for me. Free wifi and affordable room rate. With some naughty photos as decorations and also with a lot of aquaruim..

This is probably the top of the line amongst Penang's cheap hotels. It is clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The ensuite bathrooms are small and the showers bizarre and inconvenient. This place is not the Ritz, but in a town where inexpensive hotels are often nasty places, it is clean and bearable for a couple of nights stay. The location is great with easy access to Georgetown's central district.
