The rooms are awfull. Mould everywhere. Grunge come up the bath when you shower and there is mould on the roof. Apart from that everything was terrific NOT. Would never stay here again. Value for money crap.

Nice reception, lovely friendly staff. Great restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

The rooms need a serious revamp as they are definitely not Hyatt standard.

Hotel is located in a far location from the city but it is beside nice beach. No free Wifi in the hotel rooms/Lobby(excluding the Kampung Restaurant) and LAN cable in the room also to be paid at per minute rate. Management has to review the policy. Rooms looks pretty old and the Spa here offers some massage services nd find the price is little bit expensive but hope they provide good service and it requires advance booking.
Its good to book the hotel from internet as the price was better when compared with across the counter rates.
Had a good experience that they did not charge for printing my flight ticket.
At the Kampung restaurant met with some problem with Wifi and the girl helped to solve the issue by discussing with the IT team after I insisted to her that the Wifi Router needs to be reset.
It took about 20mts to wait for a taxi.

Can only echo many of the comments below. The hotel is 3 star (at best); rooms are very shabby; many bits and pieces not working. Beach is equally shabby and unkempt in sections for hotel. Beach seats worn, broken and dirty. TV selection abysmal - assuming you can get good reception; 1 movie channel (Star). No international papers even in Club lounge. Club lounge amenities almost non-existent. Barring breakfast and early evening snack - during the day a cup of tea/coffee drink + cookie is it.

Club section not especially separate from the others. One reviewer described hotel as "child friendly" - what that means is swamped by noisy families and screaming kids everywhere.

Service people are well intentioned but just cannot cut it. Maintenance is clearly a loosing battle.

Kuantan is utterly charmless and devoid of anything to do (play golf?). Heavy traffic.

Noisy revellers outside 2 nights running at 12.15am and then 4am in swimming area. In 2nd case letting off loud fireworks.

Internet quality variable - sometimes OK but sometimes so slow system hangs.

If cannot be done properly Hyatt should get out of the business as all this does is destroy Hyatt's reputation.

Been once: never go back.
