If you are going to Jounieh, specially for shopping make sure you stay at the Century Park Hotel. It is in the heart of shopping area, all big/international brands are only a minute or two away from the hotel.
The hotel has a mountain view but I was fortunate enough to have my room on the sea side. Very cheerful and amusing in the early morning.
The hotel is extremely recommended.

I stayed four days here. The hotel is pretty dated and the interior is sometimes pretty much seventies. But all together for some reason I liked the place. The staff was very very nice (typical Lebanese people) and after all, all my requests and issues were solved.
Be careful however with electricity. It goes out pretty often :)

Nothing to write home about, this hotel has not seen a renovation for at least 10-15 years and it shows. Room was large enough but size was the only good thing about it. Weird smell, bathroom fittings old and rusty, balcony smelled petrol and not clean. Away from Beirut, cost of taxi from airport from $30 to $40. Breakfast limited. We had a nice a la carte lunch though, despite being all alone in the restaurant. Staff generally friendly.
