The location is perfect: 5minutes walk from the JR station, exactly on the main shopping/touristical area of Nara, close (10-15min walk) from the big Buddha and temple area.
The personal at the reception are, as usual in Japan, very friendly and professional. When we booked the room, you can chose to have a special package than incluses a can of beer and snacks in the room (for few more Yen). I must admit, i found it quite funny, expecially when at the reception they showed us 4 kind of beer to chose... but we really enjoyed it!
The room is spacious enough. Sleep quality: perfect! You don't hear anything from outside: we slept with opened windows 'cause the area is so quite. Lovely fresh air in Nara.
In the room there are tea and coffe for free.

Wonderful downstairs bar and garden. Rooms with thick curtains so you slept like there was no tomorrow. Free bikes to zoom round the temples. Right on the mall where there were stores seeling brushes and teabags of rosepetals in fine mesh - so everything is right there but your room is so quiet. The staff were sweet and there was a separate room for our daughter so she could hang out as she wished. Great value too.

I stayed at the Fujita Nara hotel while sightseeing around Nara. It is a great location and I found the staff very friendly and helpful, even though I speak no Japanese. My room was small, even by Japanese standards, yet was certainly adequate for 1 person.

We couldn't get into Hotel Nara so chose this one as a back-up. Very expensive for what you get which is pretty basic. No frills with the decor.

Staff were ok - they seemed a little burned out though.
