Easy location @ Kata machi scramble,business class hotel. We had a twin room; enough space for our carry-on sized luggage, small but adequate bathroom. The staff spoke limited English. Best travel help was from the train station center.Tourist bus city pass from train station was a good buy @ 600 yen. Great Kaga restaurant with English menu, Itaru, behind Korinbo dept. store across the street.

The hotel is in a great location but that's about it. The double rooms are the tiniest I've ever seen, quite impossible for 2 people to stay in the room at the same time. The bed is only slightly bigger than a single & it's against the wall so you have to climb over your partner to get out of bed, there's also no place to put your bags we had a suitcase & had to ask the hotel to keep it for us in the lobby. I certainly wouldn't stay here again

The APA Hotel Kanazawa Chuo (one of several APA hotels that are near each other in Kanazawa) has a nice spa that includes a hot-spring-fed outdoor bath on its roof (actually, two - one for men and one for women), as well as indoor baths and saunas. Very nice! The hotel is conveniently located for exploring Kanazawa, within easy walking distance of the Nagamachi samurai district and Nishi Chaya district. I enjoyed the walk from the hotel to Kenrokuen, Seisonkaku, and other attractions in that area, although some people might prefer to use public transportation to reach those locations. My room was small, but very comfortable, and English-speaking staff at the desk were helpful.
