“brill apart from the lousy bar man....you will know who i mean”

we had an absolutely brill holiday here and met some really cool people. the food was ok but a bit boring afer the first two days as it seemed to be just a slightly different variation of the same meal. the drinks were good. the entertainment was laughable as it was so terrible but we had a good giggle. the groups are very much split into english and french but it was no issue as everyone got along great.
there was one huge problem though. im pregnant so wasnt drinking anyway but there was quite a large group of us that got chatting in the bar area every night and the bar is suposed to stop searving at 12 o clock but a few nights the staff wanted to get to the night club so just switched off the lights and walked away. i found this very rude and made a complaint adding that i was pregnant and could trip over anything on the floor and hurt myself purely because one staff menber called waleed had no manners to warn us when the lights were going out. appologies were made but not by the guy himself which i foulnd unacceptable. you do get mithered a little in the hotel to buy trips and to order stuff from the hotel but as soon as you make it clear that you are not interested then every thing is fine and dandy. over all i would say that it was a very enjoyable holiday but not due to anything that the hotel did, have fun x

Room Tip: get a room with a pool view. our sea view was over looking a concreate roof

“Get what you paid for”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

we had one of the best holidays I have ever had in this hotel but that was due to the company and not the hotel!! its like Fawlty towers but they really try and look after you, the animation team work so hard and really looked after our 2 year old, there was always plenty to eat and a good choice, the drinks are not the best and only serve whiskey, vodka, gin, beer which is always flat and wine. the hotel did need a good dust and hoover. and people bother you all the time about trips ect but all this said we paid just over £800 total for 3 of us for 10 days so like i said its what you pay for!!

Helpful staff from room maid to restaurant head chef. Weather was disappointing. But the inside heated pool was great help.Entertainment staff spent a lot of time encouraging people to parpicapate.

“would not return even if it was free”

We stayed here during october half term & were very disappointed. Definitely not 4 star. Rooms were in need of refurbishing especially the bathrooms, however we did get clean towels every day.
Food was very poor & generally not very hot. Salads were chilled, but to a point that they were often frozen - cucumber & lettuce especially - so we gave these a wide berth. My daughter survived on bread & pancakes for a week.
Soft drinks were local brands & very, very sweet. Served in plastic cups (not disposable) around the pool & very often you could smell & taste the detergent used to clean them.
White wine & beer was drinkable - if you tipped your waiter they would bring you a bottle to your table.
We found all staff to be pleasant & helpful - a few dinars each night & your drinks were waiting for you at your table, petals on the table & excellent service. Definitely worth the small tip each night!
Man round the pool was excellent & as soon as he saw you he was over with your mattress & clean towel.
Animation team worked tirelessly & once they realised you were there for a relaxing holiday they soon left the "sleepy corner" alone.
"Ali Baba" is quite persisitent in selling his day trips. We did book the 1/2 day camel ride & were told to be in Reception for 9am,so we got up early & had a quick breakfast, when we got there he told us we were leaving at 10am instead because the other people wanted a lie in - this was not true - they wanted to fit another group in before our ride. Then the bus arrived - it was filthy!!! We were supposed to be going to a tunisian village before the ride, it was in fact like someone's back yard & then you had to cross over the road & walk up a hill to where the camels, horses & horse & carts were. Saddles on camels were falling apart & a couple of people nearly fell off them they were so badly fitting. Back at the "village" there was no running water to wash you hands before you ate the bread the old lady made (remember we had just been riding camels etc) so luckily we had bottles of water with us.
On the day we were due to fly home Enfidha airport was closed due to freak weather & flooding in Tunisia & we had our flight cancelled indefinitely & put up in another hotel, Amir Palace, not good either, so don't be tempted to stay there.
Unfortunately, after arriving home all 3 of us were violently ill resulting in me being admitted to A&E with a "tropical illness", where we picked it up they couldn't say but it has definitely put us off returning to Tunisa & we would never recommend Ramada Liberty to anyone!

Room Tip: if you must stay here ask for a pool facing room

within 24 hours of arriving 18 Dec 2011, had moved room 3 times and also attempted to move hotel . food not fit for pigs let alone humans !!!! Staff only interested in the French, Algerian and Tunisian guest.. nearly 250 rooms and only 38 guest on our arrival... pool area in total darkness at night not even security lighting... rooms barely cleaned although bedding and towels were changed daily... 3rd visit to Tunisia all 4 star so am used to the star grading in this country..however this one not even 1 star... could go on but hope this is enough to deter you will never return to this hotel or resort

Room Tip: if you must stay here then ensure you get a pool view away from main reception area
