“A Tunisian Delight!”

As usual we requested a quiet room on a high floor, to try to keep noise to a minimum, we had also paid to upgrade to a room with a sea view.

We were greeted at the impressive entrance and lobby by the concierge in immaculate uniform, hadn't seen the same at any of the other of the hotels during the coach drop off & we were one of the last to be dropped off.

Reception was welcoming, swift and we were asked to complete our checking in forms, seated in the grand lobby/atruim whilst a drink was swiftly delivered by mohammed at the bar! What a great start!

We were shown to our room, on the 3rd floor, at the end of a corridor, shared with rather grand suites with their double doors. Our request for a high and quiet room had indeed been dellivered. The room was clean, well equipped, flat screen TV, large marble bathroom but the contents in the mini bar/fridge was a tad sparce. The sea view was there too, although it was not quite as impressive as the view from the terrace downstairs and lobby.

After two days, I was curious to see what was behind the grand double doors across the hall and as we were the only ones in lur corridor a viewing from reception was not a problem. Fabulous modern suites, dining area, living room & bedroom with two balconies, certainly worth the extra to upgrade but we decided to stay with our little room. Half an hour later we were asked to see a junior suite on the second floor (room 247), this junior suite had sepearte sitting area with extra bed, 2 flat screen TV's, larger main bedroom, bathroom with jacuzzi bath & a spectacular view over the pool, grounds and down to the beach and we were told we could upgrade for free! I believe this was only possible due to the fact that the hotel was so very quiet and because we had already pre-paid for the sea-view. Anyhow it was fabulous.

Mohammed and the bar staff great, as is the BBS restuarant down by the pool. Skip the buffet lunch & go there for delicious pizza after 2pm! Also you get bottles of wine (and it's not bad), rather than the glass like usual AI. We'll be back!

“Golf in Tunisia”

We were a group of 9 lady golfers who went to this hotel over New Year 2011 for a golfing week. The hotel and golf were excellent. Everything was lovely including the New Year Party. The rooms were very comfortable and warm, and the food was great. Staff lovely. Golf courses well worth a visit. Only slight problem was bus to golf course only went on the hour so if the courses had been busy we would have missed our tee time. However they were empty so no problem. Would recommend for a lovely golf week. 2 golf courses were very well kept and interesting holes.

Room Tip: If you want a lovely view ask for a room overlooking the pool.

“Outstanding”

Forget visions of all inclusive package holiday hotels from hell. This hotel and more importantly it's staff offers excellent customer service, good food, stylish rooms and public areas and ever flowing drinks.

As both of us are vegetarian we were worried we would go hungry, however there was plenty to select from in the buffet restaurant and the two more formal restaurants made an effort to come up with vegetarian options.

The staff are what make this hotel exceptional, as they welcome you as old friends and really do want you to have the best possible time, as one of them said to us, 'we are here for you'.

“Great Find”

On arrival smooth check in and given a cold drink whilst waiting for our room. Upgraded to sea view which was worth every penny (approx £40.00 for the week). Fruit bowel in room on arrival.

Rooms: in contemporary style with separate toilet. Bed really comfortable, pillows rock hard! Two separate wardrobes etc (might want to take extra coat hangers only four each supplied). Cleaned everyday to an ok standard, never got our sheets changed all week had to take the pillow cases off in order for them to be changed. Fridge in room, water; sparkling and still supplied daily.

Food: As mentioned by others buffet, for breakfast and evening meal - ok but would get repetitive after a week. Tunisian and International for A la Carte; both had nice decor and waiter service (the waiter in the Tunisian was a bit touchy feely towards my husband!?) the food was much better in these two restaurants, you could book daily however many times you wanted so we decided to eat mainly in these two restaurants. The restaurant used for lunch was as people have said a fly zone. Never seen so many flies before ever and yes we spent most of the time swatting ourselves. Better to get there early, sit outside and eat at 100 miles per hour. They must know its a problem as they had fly spray for sale in the shop! But seriously it really needs addressing. Lunch in the buffet restaurant would have been much better. Loved the fact that you got left the whole bottle of wine (which was not bad) at lunch and dinner time!

Entertainment: none existent but I was glad, would rather background music than someone playing an organ or piano and miming to songs. Barmen were excellent in the lounge area they kept the drinks coming all night even before you asked.

Indoor pool was a godsend as the outdoor pool was freezing! Be careful in the sea it can get a bit rough but they do have warning flags up. Beach was lovely.

We ventured out to the new town to the medina; declined to go in a few shops and overhead several men declaring how much they hated the English very hostile situation so decided to go back to the hotel and not spend our hard earned cash. Didn't bother to leave the hotel after that.

We had good weather when we were there at the end of October (going into the Tunisian winter), approx between 70 – 75 degrees, in the evening it can be cooler so some may need a light jumper or cardigan. Never got bitten once out there and had no problems with the food.

We had a lovely relaxing time at the Aziza, the staff were really nice and helpful and if you are going to this hotel then lucky you!

“More than we expected”

Great hotel, fab staff, amazing food - My husband, 14month old baby and I went to the Aziza for 11 nights from 26th Oct 2011. This hotel is perfect if you are looking for a quite hotel with little entertainment (just what we were looking for)
The hotel is spotless, constantly cleaned.
The staff are fantastic everyone from the gardener, restaurant staff, maids and bar staff they really cant do enough for you.
Rooms are cleaned daily, spacious and modern
The food is fantastic for all inclusive and having the International and Tunisian as alternatives to the buffet restaurant was a real touch, made you feel like you had gone out for dinner! Every night we had a bottle of rose wine waiting at our table for us. They don't limit you to one bottle, in fact I haven't known anything like it! You could have wine at lunch as well as dinner. I liked the fact if you wanted a soft drink they opened the bottle and left it on the table for you, coca cola, sprite, water and always sealed. Little touches like this makes this hotel stand out.
We really couldn't fault this hotel and would recommend to anyone who is wanting a quite get away with good food and service.
A few tips here and there also goes a long way, they don't expect it and are grateful - it is worth giving a few dinar we seemed to get the better wine and fab service.
There isn't much to do outside the hotel but a 20-30 min walk you are in Hammamet which is worth walking too, everyone cooed over the baby! They love children here and are really respectful.
Only fault we have with this hotel is with the reception staff, they seemed to let this hotel down a little - every other member of staff in this hotel cant do enough for you, but we found the reception staff to be less accommodating!! But don't let this put you off.
Great hotel, worth a visit, cant say enough good things - we will return.
