This was my first time to stay at the Pavilions, but it was my boyfriend’s second time. We chose to stay in an Ocean View Pool Villa. We were in Villa 20 and it had excellent views of the Andaman Sea and having a private pool was truly amazing. You could go swimming with or without your bathing suit and could step into the pool directly from the sliding doors of your bedroom.
The quantity and quality of food at the resort is outstanding. You could either have breakfast served Continental style in your room, or you could eat at the Restaurant where they had buffet style breads and fruits and a menu to order proteins and pastries from. You can choose to have lunch in your villa or at the Restaurant. Dinner can be served at the Restaurant, in your private villa, or at the 360 Bar which feels like your in a tree house above the resort.
In phase two of the resort, they have recently built a large pool with another bar/restaurant, though we did not use these facilities. The pool had lounge chairs and there was a bamboo walking bridge that took you to an additional lounge chair area.
One neat feature in the second phase area was a funicular that could take you between the various levels since the rooms in this area are built on the hillside.
The staff at the resort is extremely friendly and wants your experience to be one you will remember. A nice touch is personal meetings with the General Manager (JC) or the Assistant Manager (Linda) who only want your time at The Pavilions to be everything and more that you expect it to be.
Although it is a bit pricey, the splurge is well worth it. You will remember your stay at The Pavilions and will not be able to wait until your return.
