We stayed at this self catering condo and totally pleased, Its clean, nice jacuzzi pool and spacious. Its a 10 minute walk up the hill to Surin beach with quite a few eateries close by if you want pampering.

We stayed at the Surin Sabai in April 2010 with our two teenage sons. It is great value for money we had friends staying at the Marriott Hotel around the corner and they paid loads more than us and had less space. We only booked into the sabai because we could not get a room at the marriott and we were so glad when we arrived. Large spacious rooms two bedrooms, fully equiped kitchen, if I went back to surin I would not stay anywhere else. Yes it is about a 5 minute walk to the beach but when it is too hot to walk you can get a tuk tuk for £2.00 that will take 4 of you.
The staff do not stay on site at night but they are there in the day and our room was cleaned and beds made, towels changed everyday.
Cannot complain about anything.

It's not a 5 star resort but for the price it's a great place to stay. We had 2 groups of 4 people and booked 2 rooms. Upon arriving there was no reception at 10pm.. but we got greeted by a guard and was handed our keys.

We stepped into the rooms after a hot and sweaty ride and was greeted by some of the largest rooms we've seen. Ok, it was not the size of Taj Mahal but imagine a 2 bedroom condominium, with kitchen, 2 bathrooms and open living room.

The next week we had great fun with the independence of of the 'lack' of staff. We could go in the pool, come home late, get our own drinks, cook our own food. But having said that, the staff was always ready to make our beds and change towels.

The best thing about Surin Sabai? The value for money.
The worse thing is that there are some other hotels much closer to the beach. (It takes 5-7 minutes to walk there.)

Would I recommend it? Sure! If you go in a large group try to get the 3 bedroom penthouse.

Travelled on budget, so when we found rooms at Surin Sabai Condo within our budget, we booked 3 rooms immediately. We had 2 rooms on the ground floor, right outside the pool and on the 2nd level. It's very quiet with towels replenished very generously.

Arrived at the condo around 5pm on a sunday, found that the receiption was closed. One of the staff just handed us our room keys and informed that sunday is an off day for the receiptionist. Was surprised to hear that.

I'm given the impression that the staff do not stay in the hotel as i was told the manager comes in at 9am and the other staff at 8am. So not sure if this was a plus or minus. It was sure a plus for us. We had the pool to ourselves every night, had champagne in it. Did i mentioned that the rooms come with a fan, a mini kitchen with Utensils, pots for cooking (i'm serious), wine opener, wine glasses and check this out - Small BOLSTERS! What a surprise! Have i mentioned that their bathroom slippers are SO SO GOOD, much better than those even from 4-5 stars.

It's 15 minutes away from Surin Beach.

Thing to note: they have a 2.5% bank commission chargeable if you pay by credit card bill on the hotel stay.
