“Luxury and relaxation”

From the moment we arrived at the resort, we were pleasantly surprised with what we saw. Check-in was very professional, quick and friendly. We were checked into a two bedroom apartment, which was absolutely stunning. We've stayed at many other resorts around Asia in the last two years, and this was by far the best rooms we've got. The rooms were spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. We had a kitchen, sitting room and porch overlooking the swimming pool. The apartment had some board games, which was a great addition, since we were too sunburnt the last day to do anything else. The pool was great and had nice big beds to lounge on. The staff were friendly and the cocktails (especially during happy hour) were good value. We loved that the resort was not too busy, we mostly had the pool to ourselves during our stay and the breakfast was fast and freshly made.

The hotel is situated a short walk from Surin Beach. We've previously been to Patong and Laguna in Phuket, and enjoyed this beach very much. We used a tailor a few doors down from the resort (which was much more pricy than the tailors in Patong) and got some suits and shirts made in a VERY short time - decided to get one more shirt made the afternoon before our departure and it was ready by the next morning.

Ever since our stay at the Chava Resort, we have been comparing all other places to it. The resort is VERY expensive if you don't get it on a great deal (we got a very good deal on Groupon @ S$275/night), but I guess it's a case of "you get what you pay for". We've been longing to go back every time we have visitors over, but only because of the price, we've had to opt for other less expensive resorts.

I would not hesitate to recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for luxury and relaxation.

Glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and found so much to like about The Chava and hope that perhaps during the Green Season when we some times have some great offers like the one you bought you will be able to come back. If you have joined our mailing list then you will be receiving these direct.

The reason for our pricing is that you are in effect getting the equivalent of 2 hotel rooms in each of our 2 bedroom apartments. So when you are comparing us in that way you will find that we are not really expensive. Seeing that you are so close we hope that you can find a way to come back and see us soon.

“Perfect for us.”

The hotel design is very nice with high ceiling lobby, the big swimming pool and the small Sala ( big bed with roof ) by the pool and the bar. All the staffs are very nice, helpful and friendly. The rooms are very big with 2 comfortable bed rooms, each with TV and toilet. The living room is perfect for long family holidays. The kitchen has everything we need. The way to beach is passing the garden with huge ancient trees make our way interested and not too long.
We had been back to the Chava and will keep going back there.

Thank you for taking time to write your review which we really appreciate.

I have to agree our location and proximity to the beach and surrounding restaurants make for a great beach holiday and as you mention the size of the apartments are ideal for families or two couples to relax in without being on top of each other.

So next time you are planning a holiday at The Chava then please contact me direct so that I can reserve some time in one of those poolside salas for you!!

“Fantastic place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

Just returned from an amazing trip in Thailand and staying 4 nights at The Chava Resort. It was a highlight of our trip. The 2 bedroom apartment was absolutely amazing. The staff were wonderful and friendly. We had our two daughters with us who are 18 and 16 and they loved it there. Surin beach is definitely the place to stay having looked around Phuket and very glad we didnt stay in Patong. Would definitely recommend staying at The Chava and will be recommending this to all our friends who go to Thailand. The pool, breakfast, surroundings.. everything was beautiful.

“Super friendly, huge rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Smart hotel close to Surin beach. Very stylish lobby and pool, rooms were huge and comfortable although uninspiringly neutral in design (2 bed apartment, very functional and comfortable but lacked character).

Pool was very nice, breakfasts good but cocktails less so. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful, made the stay very pleasant indeed. The taxi rank outside the hotel is great by the way.

Places to go for food - Catch overpriced and only ok food so stick to cocktails there, Kudos was excellent but not very local. Pla our favourite on the beach, Blue Siam our favourite up the road, another very cool venue.

Great option for groups/large families, lots to do nearby (Naithon beach excellent)

Good Morning and thank you for review The Chava

It is always good to get feed back from our guests and we always pass this onto the areas so that we can continue to improve where necessary or provide compliments to the staff as this really means a lot to them.

The restaurants you mentioned are all great and if you are back in Surin at some stage you should also try Opus One as the food there is excellent.

Glad you liked Nai Thon beach as it is also one of my favourites particularly at sunset eating BBQ prawns on the beach with an icy cold beer.

“Amazing all round. Wish we were nearer"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

This a 8 months late but can't get our stays in 2009 and 2011 out of my head. The resort is classy, peaceful and all the staff have a "can do" attitude. Room service super, breakfast a lovely start to the day, apartments everything and more you could want (except washing machine) and location ideal for beach and beachside restaurants. So relaxing but not boring as so much to eat and drink across the road and snorkelling also good. Not far from busier spots if required. Try Thai food n Surin Bay Inn! See you soon, Chava!

Hi
Thanks for writing your review and glad to hear that you enjoyed the Chava enough to stay with us twice.

The location and style of The Chava as you say are great, but I think that the staff at a resort are key in making the difference between a good holiday and a great one. So appreciate your comments about our staffs can do attitude and I will be sure to pass this on as I know that they focus on trying to make all of our guests stays as enjoyable as possible and love the feedback

Next time you are planning to visit please contact us direct and lets hope the next one is not too far away.
