Although we arrived late in the evening, the warm welcome of the staff of Hotel Orchid Residence made our stay very easy going and comfortable.

Prior to the trip, Peter, the hotel manager had arranged for our hotel pick-up as well as Phi Phi Island tour. Peter was very helpful and accommodating and this in turn reflects to his staff.

I definitely recommend Hotel Orchid Residence to my friends and other people going to Phuket!

I stayed at Orchid Residence for 5 nights in low season 2010. The Hotel is really well located, near the shopping mall (Jung Ceylon) and main bars and restaurants in Patong. It's location is on a quiet soi just off the main area.

The hotel staff were very friendly, trustworthy and professional, and the rooms were always clean and the decor was modern and the rooms were bright. The hotel has a few different standards of rooms, of which i stayed in the superior and it was spacious, clean, bright and with a great view over the soi. I had a balcony and judging from the outside, i think i was the only one! For this price range, it is the best hotel i viewed or stayed at in this area of Patong. I would definitely go back. The food is also cheap but delicious.

If i was to improve this hotel, i would upgrade the safes in the rooms (although there are safes at reception) and also the TV channels to included more cable TV English speaking channels. The hotel is owned by a German and seems to cater for Germans in particular, as there is German literature (magazines and books) in each room, but nothing in English.

i have stayed in 3 hotels in patong, 1 was a 5 star hotel and the orchid is the best by far. i got a very personal service which i have never experienced before, even the room cleaners who were fantastic even offered to pack my suitcase for me!! i said no thanks as i didnt want to leave!! the rooms are spacious and clean and the location has to be perfect! will be back in october with some friends!

I could not fault this hotel. THE OWNER AND STAFF WERE FANTASTIC.. This hotel is in an excellent location,close to beach and close to many places to dine. Rooms were very clean. If you are travelling single this is the place for you to stay. My stay 16/4/2010--22/4/2010.
