Brilliant big and clean rooms, nice pool lovely staff and all for a good price

Little bit out the way maybe 10 mins walk or 60 baht on a motorbike taxi but good and quiet at night

Even get a new towel design every day really excellent stay

I tell all my friends about the Sun Hill Hotel and I think I've stayed there about 7 or 8 times now.

It is away from the hustle and bustle of Patong yet still very accessible at the south end of Patong's Soi Nanai. The beach is about a kilometre away and its about 2 kilometres to Bangla Rd.

The best thing about Sun Hill is the friendly and helpful owner and hotel staff. On arrival you are greeted by very polite and immaculately dressed reception staff. Daeng, Fon and the manager Roman go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The room was as described on website, beautiful and clean with excellent facilities and free internet access. The quality of the rooms is fantastic. Each delightfully appointed with modern, comfortable, furnishings.

The only downside is probably its location, however I feel this is more than compensated for, by the quality of service and value for money the hotel provides.

I borrowed the title from another review I read however it is so apt for the Sun Hill I had to use it. I have always enjoyed my stay at the Sun Hill Hotel and won't stay anywhere else in Patong.

The staff were really friendly and you provide a safe at reception for you to use.

The pool is lovely and worth cooling off in after the heat and sea salt!

The location however is not perfect, its located up a hill and not near the central area. However it is only 15mins to the beach and maybe 25mins walk into the centre.

Well after a bustling few days in Bangkok at the mystic place...me and wifey (on honeymoon) headed to Patong in Phuket...had read about Sunhill (good reviews on trip advisor)....and also imagined that Patong was not my cup of tea...but had to see it to believe (also my wife seemed touristy)...so for first timers to Patong and its madness...Sunhill is perfect....quiet and clean...away from some of the uglier things you are bound to see (to each his own...but i like quiet places)...the rooms were well furnished...very warm wooden furnishing...the service was cool and composed...they did actually do a little extra...and made you feel less touristy....Its basically good rooms....and a small clean pool....the towel arrangements made by the staff were adorable and a big hit with us....as we had a car and explored the Island (the best way to do it)...we figured the we liked the Kata beach area....cape Panwa...Karon Beach and driving to the Phang Nga Island.....we took tips from the lovely Jamie Monk's Phuket Blog (even met him at one of his recommended eating hangouts)....but having said that....Sunhill is close to Patong beach ....and we found it very relaxing....and so clean...the place smelt nice (important).....so yeah recommended.....also..the girls at the reception are hot..;)
