I stayed recently at BYD Lofts based on recommendations from Trip Advisor as well as another message board. I must say, i was not disappointed!

I booked directly with the hotel and worked with Alex who was very professional and was very quick to respond to my email inquiries. We booked the 160 square meter, two-bedroom apartment. It includes two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The downside was that one of the bedrooms did not have a TV. No big deal but would have been nice to have a TV there. The bathroom amenities were outstanding and the bedrooms were big with patio doors that opened to the wrap-around patio.

The apartment included a living room with built-in Bose sound system and iPod dock, large couch along with a large flat TV screen and working desk. Perfect place to chill! The kitchen was complete with stove, refrigerator and microwave. The dining room included a table and four chairs.

The wrap-around patio was the icing on the cake. The patio wrapped around the entire apartment which was pretty neat and included lighting as well as a table and chairs.

BYD Lofts is about a 15 minute walk to Bangla Rd. so it's not too far to walk and the walk is rather enjoyable as you get to see a bit more of Patong than you would flying by in a Tuk Tuk. I loved everything about this hotel from the staff, the food, the drinks, the amenities, the roof top pool. But as with everything, there were some cons.

Cons:
The rooftop pool is great and quiet. But, the sun disappears behind the large hotel next door by around 3 pm. The internet left a little something to be desired. We were without Internet/WiFi access in our room for over two days. When you're paying this much money for a room, I would at least expect reliable Internet access. I was almost forced to go next door to buy Internet access but it finally started working again, although very spotty. Please fix this next time!

The only other thing to not was the beds were hard. However, I have found this with most hotels in Phuket so maybe that's just the way it is.

Over all, I will definitely be staying here at this hotel next time I'm in Patong. Thank you BYD for a great experience!

Excellent location (not too far from downtown and from the beach but distant to avoid the noisy part of it), very modern and luxurious apartments with comfortable and clean environment. The owners, Dutch nationals, live in Phuket for over 15 years and know for sure how to make Europeans feel at home. For sure one of the best addresses in town. Their restaurant looks pretty clean and good, allowing you to enjoy Thai food with European hygiene and with very affordable prices. Last but not least, they offer an airport shuttle in beautiful new Mercedes CLS cars (convertible or not). The only weakness is the distance to the beach and the fact that the swimming pool size could have been a bit larger. However it seems that not many people use the pool so it is big enough.

I stayed a BYD lofts for 5 nights and six days and i enjoyed it to the maximum extent. Very lovely apartment, airco working well and without disturbing noise, the bed was extremely good, bedlinnen spotless. Comfortable saloon, flashy tv with a wide array of channels. Daily service of the room without flaws. At ground level there is an in-house restaurant with yummy food, comfortable seating, friendly staff that speak very decent English.There is also a wine shop selling beers too, that you can take to your room and store them in the frigde. Swimming pool a bit tiny but that did not preclude me from doing my daily laps.
Alex, the Managing Director, is a friendly person who takes pride of his business, which he conducts with acumen. For those liking to use the Hotel limo, don't hesitate, the Mercedes is a truly splendid car,the driver is patient and prudent.
Don't miss it, as the price is very affordable, the experience is nice. Overall, i was very satisfied, hence every reason to be back at BYD lofts in the future.

BYD had made my stay at Phuket so enjoyable. The rooms are so comfortable and well-furnished. The staffs are friendly and very helpful. They are always very prompt with their service.
The location of the hotel is close to Patong beach and the shopping area. There are also night street food just around the corner.
I would definately stay with them again.
