We just got back last week and WOW..This was our foirst time to Phuket and we took our 2 boys (6 and 4 yrs old),we got interconnecting rooms (as asked) which were both HUGE rooms on the 4th floor. The pool/s are awesome and kid friendly.The staff were all so lovely except the chef at breakfast who i found VERY rude. Anna and Coco in the "breakfast room" were a big hit with my boys and they loved them. As you walk out of the hotel there are so many resturants and shops to choose from. IIs a busy area but you would expect that being a popluar area as its right on the beach and close to Bangla Rd.
The only thing I didnt like was that fireworks kept going off ALL night EVERY night on the beach and this hotel being so close,it was SO LOUD! But saying that we loved this hotel and would definatly stay here again. Thanks Banthai for making our first trip to Phuket the BEST one!

Stayed at the Banthai over the new year for our first time in Phuket and have to agree with earlier reviews – great location, very friendly staff. There are 3 pools and sunbeds were always available. Swim up bars and pool service all very good. We were disappointed when we first arrived as our non smoking room was quite run down and floor tiles stained and broken. However, it turned out that the trainee receptionist had made a mistake and this room had in fact been allocated to someone else and there was only a smoking room available for us. When we looked at the new room it was much nicer than the first one with a new wooden floor and no smell of smoking so we were happy to move. The wash basin in both rooms was outside the bathroom but we didn’t mind. They also gave us a free dinner for the inconvenience of having to change rooms. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. Our only complaint was that anyone can buy fireworks in Phuket and people were letting them off on the beach all night until 4 or 5 in the morning, so we didn’t get much sleep, and some of them sounded like cannons they were so loud, but this wasn’t the hotel’s fault. I would definitely stay there again and will be booking one of the rooms with pool access next time! A word of warning - don’t listen to the European guys who try to befriend you in the street and offer you scratchies with free gifts such as a cruise, TV etc, if you just go with them to look at resort. It’s just a scam and a waste of your time.

This hotel is amazing! We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights in Decemeber 2011 and weren't dissapointed! The location is absolutely superb; only 2 minutes walk to Bangla Road, it's opposite the beach, and close to all the shopping and restaurants.

The hotel offers 3 swimming pools - all with swim up bars. The bar staff are very friendly. We stayed in a newly renovated Superior room which was perfect - spacious room, a balcony overlooking the pool, and a lounge and table. The poolside menu and room service is also great and very cheap!

The lobby of the hotel was being renovated when we stayed here, however this had no affect on us. Our only complaint is that there is NO free wifi, you have to pay around $8 AUD for 1 hour!!

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody wanting to go to Phucket.

this hotel was a real peach. Right in the middle of everything Phuket has to ffer yet secluded enough for peace and quiet. The beach just across the main busy road. everything about tis hotel oozed class and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Pool area was just perfect as was the pool and an added bonus were the banana milkshakes. If you are gong to Phuket for the first time you will not pick a better hotel or location anywhere.
