The hotel is small and family managed. For those who love the water, the location couldn't be better - right on the beach. This was one hotel whose website pictures of the beach were entirely accurate.

The great -
(1) Loved the quiet, sleepy ambience. Just 9 cottages and most times you will have the beach to yourself.
(2) A 30 second walk from your cottage and you step out on the sand.
(3) Great babmboo sit-outs next to the beach, to hang out, drink beer, eat or sleep
(4) The lady managing the place is a great cook, if you like Thai cooking
(5) At high tide ( mornings and early afternoon in December ), the water is good, clean and calm. The sand, though not really white, is clean and without rocks.
(6) Lovely Causirina trees shading the beach
(7) Nice views across the water to small islands
(8) Possibly the quietest / best beach on the Krabi mainland.

The good -
(1) Cottages are basic but we found it adequate
(2) Lots of dogs around the property - mainly Labradors. They are well behaved and we love dogs, so this was a positive for us.
(3) The place is small enough that you meet and perhaps get friendly with most of your fellow guests.

The not so good -
(1) This part of the beach is cut off from the rest of the beaches by a water channel. You are dependent on a boat to get you across. The hotel has a boat, but late night trips back from Ao Nang can be a problem.
(2) The "family" atmosphere, while charming for the first couple of days, can get a bit grating after a while. A little more professional hotel services would be welcome.
(3) No electricity except generator power between 6pm to around 6 am. Didnt bother us much in December though, specially as we were out most of the day.
(4) On getting to know some of the other guests, we found we were paying a lot more than some of them were. Even those who booked later than us. I guess we were not so smart.

All in all - loved the first couple of days. The next two days
had niggling irritaions - phone calls to the hotel to pick us up by boat not answered, the generator power going off, no breakfast when we had to leave early one morning etc.
