This was the second time we stayed at the Thip Residence. Again, it was a great experience. The Boutique Hotel is quiet new, our room was well furnished, and the bathroom also is nice and clean. The new pool is just right to have a nice swim. You can reach Riley beach very quick, because the boats are leaving 2 min. from the Hotel. Ao Nang is easy to reach by Baht Taxi, and so is Krabi town. If you rent a motor bike, you reach Ao Nang within 5 min.
The owners are very helpful and charming, and so is the stuff. All in all, we love to stay here, and, whenever we return, we will stay here again! Fritz and Karen

Just 5 min from ao nang. During daytime every 15 min bus to ao nang. Or rent a motorbike or eat at thip residence

We loved our stay at this lovely hotel in Krabi. But to get there you´ll need a twenty minutes drive from Krabi Town. And if you do, we think you´ll come to like this quiet hotel with a very good restaurant and charming staff. Beds are a bit too hard.

Very nice, comfortable hotel with excellent staff and most of the facilities required. I would suggest to take the deluxe room if its available as its not much expensive compared to standard but the balcony and overall room decor is fabulous and much better. Most of all I think the staff is excellent. The owner was very gracious and helpful in making us feel comfortable. I stayed with my husband and 4 of my friends - all of us coming from different places with different schedules - the hotel helped us in our pick ups, getting our trips arranged etc. I didnt fell any issue that we were not living right in Ao Nang area - there arent any hotels that I saw right on Ao Nang beach - they are all at a walk to the beach and to the whole night life. We were spending time with friends, it was great for us to have a nice place with great rooms. The hotel is anyways just a 10 min ride away from the Ao Nang beach and has a beach across the road - with easy access to Railey. I wasnt too impressed by the hotel food considering its Thailand but then there is no lack of options outside - breakfast was pretty ok and included - nice to sit outside and have it in the morning. Staff is very accommodating if you tell them what you want. They make it very easy for you to find any of the ferry, trip information etc which is very helpful and have taxi etc available at standard rates - we had left our snorkel gear in the taxi - it was at the front desk when we got back cause the taxi was booked through hotel. Overall I would say a great experience!
