“Perfect location in an idillic setting”

A lovely hotel in a prime spot on Railay. The Rooms are very spaciaus and well equiped perfect for my Wife and I. Clean and even have a bath!
Some bungalows are quite far back towards East Railay, but this is nothing to worry about as it is only a small paved walk to the West Railay beach.
Breakfast is good, standard Thai buffet breakfast. Restaurant however is overproced for the standard of food and service you get, (wth the exception of the pizzas which are divine!) but a lot seemed over priced on Railay!
Would definately recommend and will be returning, next time with parents!

Room Tip: Ask for on closer to West Railay and definately upgrade to the deluxe cottages!

“NOT worth the money!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Me and my husband stayed here for 4 nights! (Deluxe bungalow) If it wasnt for the sourroundings i would def start to cry. The bathroom and room was NOT as on pictures! Rust and mold everywhere, the bath room looked like it was renovated in the 70:s!! We both almost cracked our backs because of the hard beds, we could hear our neighbours BREATH in the next room because the hotel put a thin door in between the other peoples room! WHY?!
We had to put towels in the cracks so that we couldnt hear them! The TV had NO signal. It would def go faster to dry my hair in the sun than the hair dryer. The "clean" towels smelled horrible. I started to throw up on the way to the beach /restaurant because our room was located "behind" the kitchen so it was like going through a dumpster that smelled like dead animals. The internet was SO bad! And NO wifi in rooms, only in restaurant, wich was also very very bad conection. They said that they would get new routers from Bangkok? And that it would take 2-3 weeks to fix! I wonder how long they have been saying that to the people that have been staying there.
Not worth the money at all, def one of the worst stays i have experianced in my life. Also people that we got to know said the same thing...
But! The restaurant had good food! And the pool was nice, but set the alarm for 7 p.m to get a chair by the pool. Not many at all.

Thank you so much for your review. I have your problem to our HouseKeeping Manager about bathroom floor. Railay Deluxe Cottages have renovated since 4 years. But, this room type is very popular that's the reason why become quiet dated and old. For Hair dryer, we use the silent mode. It is a new arrival. For Wi-Fi, i regret to inform you that we have a huge technical problem with wireless signal. However, this is a part of "Complimentary service" sometimes it works, sometimes it is not.

Hope to have a chance to welcome you back again soon.

Sincerely,

Timmy

“Free wifi? Yeh when stand in the right spot..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Don't get me wrong.. This place was pretty nice.. Rooms were big and bathrooms were pretty.. They were not super clean but was acceptable.. Note to people who end up staying here.. Clean the vents in your air con.. Because if its hot you will need too...
Location was perfect, right on the beach.. Short walk to get to places.. Pretty quiet at night time.. I think this place should be a 3 star not a 4 star.
Staff were friendly but barely greeted you when u walked past.. Many didn't speak English so they avoilded communicating I think..
Breakfast was nice but no service and you were not looked after during your meal.. More like a breakfast room rather then a restrauant..
Overall, not bad. But they could do with some improving..
Note, if you want free wifi, go over to sand sea resort next door and use theirs.. Found this out in the last two hours of my stay.. Typical!! :-)

Thank you so much for your review. I apologize for the inconvenience caused to you due to "Free Wi-fi" I understand that you require internet all through the day as all your business transactions are done online. However, this time due to some major technical fault the internet service have disrupted. This issue is likely to get resolved within this month.

Hope to welcome you back again if possible.

Sincerely,

Timmy

“Good Hotel and Value Price”

The hotel is nice. Good location, we can walk through east and west side of Railay Bay. Railay island is great location for rock climbing. I really enjoy it though it make my arm un-usable for hours.....

“Fantastic place to bring the family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

My husband and 2 children (ages 3 and 5) stayed in a privacy cottage for a week in mid January. The cottage worked really well for us as the kids could be put to bed and my husband and I could sit outside in the private fenced in patio area and have a drink and talk. The daybed in the room is similar in size to a single bed so we had one child on that and the other on a cot that was supplied per our request. Our bed was extremely firm. The room was very nice, the bathroom could use some updating although it really didn't bother us at all as it was clean and we found the housekeeping to be excellent. The outdoor area was great for us, after spending the day at the beach and pool we returned before dinner and the kids were thrilled to have a bath in the huge outdoor tub which was washed and filled everyday by housekeeping. We had breakfast each day at the resort, which was fine but nothing great. The coffee is pretty horrid but there are a few places on the way to the walking street and on the walking street which advertise "real coffee" and I suggest both of these. We often also had dinner at the resort after finding out about the seafood grill which was great. The kids could play on the beach as we sat and relaxed with our drinks and food. The beach is beautiful, we enjoyed exploring the entire area, going to Phra Nang beach and seeing the cave and enjoying the great food from the boats pulled up on the sand. Taking a kayak was a highlight for us as it gives you a great perspective on the scenery and enables you to explore some caves. My husband and I took turns hiking up to the Scenic look out and lagoon as it would be impossible with the kids. Great view from the look out but I didn't think the lagoon was worth the effort as it is shallow and has a murky mud floor which cannot really be swimmed in. I would recommend going to the travel agency on the walking street which is next to a little gift store. I was given a much better deal for Nosey Parkers Elephant trekking than at the resort. Nosey parkers was definitely worth the trip! I found the service at the resort to be great, some female servers come accross as unfriendly but this may be cultural or just shyness and usually warmed up after a smile and attempt from us to speak Thai.
