We stayed in the Orchid Treehouse which was nice and quiet. The rooms were clean besides for an ant invasion but that could have been due to the snacks we brought with us. We spend a few hours at the pool which was very cold probably because it's surrounded by the jungle so almost no sunlight gets in. This truly gives you the treehouse experience since our treehouse was 45 feet up! The issue is that we also had to carry our luggage up that high on steep stairs as well. This may not be an issue if your not an over packer like us ;)

We booked this room in Surat Thani as out other choices were not available and told it was right in the village (it is actually a 15min walk away). It is in a nice forest location and the bungalows are well spaced out, so no noise from neighbours. However it was overpriced for what it was. We paid 1400B for a room with a fan. It was a basic room with no facilities ie: nowhere to put bags or hangers for clothes, no water, no glasses etc. The room itself was clean and the beds ok but the bathroom was another story. We could not walk into the bathroom with bare feet as it was floored with untreated cross-sections of trees (and stones) which were rotten and therefore home to worms, caterpillars, ants, grubs, cockroaches etc . We are not squeamish about such things but this was too much (it is not nice to look down and see squirming bugs when nature calls)! But at least the shower water was hot.
Also make sure that you bring a torch as paths are hard to see at night and slippery and there are some very steep steps to negotiate (this place is only for the able bodied).
The food in the restaurant was good and the trip to the dam is a lovely day out.
Owners are very good at marketing.

Upon arrival manager was not very smiling person but that changed later the day.
We took family room which accomodate all 5 of us easy.
Room not super clean but very ok base on location and style.
Shower is fun outdoor.
Pool can be little more attnded.
Food was good.
