I staid in the opey de place from the 9 Apr till the 28 Apr,with my Thai wife and daughter age 5.price 950 bht per night.
We had the Jr suite which has two rooms, and is was very big and cleaned every day in the room there was a microwave and plates kfs etc.0ne air con in each room and one TV in each room
The room was very quiet no noise from out side,our air con broke down one night,they put us in another room for the night and fixed it. the next day.
The staff are helpful and will help you out if they can.

I cannot fault the quality of this hotel for the price! Great little rooms, or large roms if you pay a bit extra, lovely little pool, great little restaurant and bar, free internet and WIFI and right in the hub of the Diana area :) PERFECT.

I stayed at this hotel many times before but was horrified on my last visit. The place seems to have no management at all. We spotted small cockroaches on the bed on arrival (small ones...the ones that go in your ear) and I then sprayed the room, which was to show the real magnitude of the problem. The house keeping staff were well aware of the problem.
The restaurant of course I avoided. The rooms are very basic and have had no attention since the place was built. There are no in-room safes either. The location is OK if you know Pattaya. I checked out after paying for the first night on arrival. There used to be a problem getting a room here, but although the other places are pretty full all around, the Opey De Place has rooms available. There is a reason for that! It is just not getting repeat customers. There is no excuse for an infestation of cockroaches. There are plenty of specialist companies who would be only happy to eradicate this problem. There seems to a total lack of any interest in the hotel and this is just one result. Avoid!

Stayed here in March 2009 when they messed up my reservation for a pool view by allocating a room with a door that opened onto a corridor overlooking the pool. I optioned to upgrade to a suite for minimal extra cost. Happy enough (not the best but the price was ok for the season) so I booked the suite again on my return to UK for a September 2009 trip (all confirmd by the hotel). Arrived after a 30+hour journey to be told that they'd given my room to a tourist who'd arrived earlier that day & may or may not stay more than one night. Offered me an inferior room overlooking the road not the pool & refused to move the occupant of my reservation the next day. As usual it's pointless to argue with a Thai as the fault lies always with someone who's not present/ cannot be contacted. I checked out after one night & moved to a nearby hotel with better facilities & more helpful staff. This place is cheap & it shows.
