My husband and I went here on our honeymoon before moving onto Koh Samui for the second week. It was exactly what we wanted - plush surroundings with a beautiful beach, few people to contend with (unlike Samui), no pestering from people trying to sell things and isolation of the best kind. After a very very busy few weeks of getting ready for a wedding it was the perfect remedy.

The resort was wonderful - very comfortable room (though the beds were perhaps not designed for Westerners), the staff were incredibly friendly and informal enough not to feel stuffy and awkward. We stayed almost entirely within the resort or on the beach and for us that was plenty. Wonderfully far away enough from Khao Lak that we could get there if needed (the hotel do a shuttle bus every afternoon) but not dragged into the busyness and mild chaos against our will. The pool was lovely and beautifully shaded in the afternoon as the beach becomes less shaded.

We cannot recommend this place highly enough - we enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, the hospitality, the cookery lesson with their delightful staff and having the chance to do absolutely nothing. Bliss!

We decided to stay for 3 nights at Haadson after reading reviews on TripAdvisor.com and it was a great decision to stay at Haadson (thanks to my partner) for shortlisting Haadson. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Haadson. It's situated at amazing location, beautiful, calm, secluded beach and surrounded by amazing green forest inside and outside. We stayed at Coconut villa and its very beautiful and spacious and clean rooms and surroundings. The Bathroom is well lit and very clean. The bathroom decor was very appealing. The beach (bang sak) is beautiful. The Haadson resort is little far from Khao Lak town (13 km) so expect to pay 350 - 400 Bhat to Taxi at Khao Lak town to reach the Haadson. Good thing is on daily basis, the resort provides complimentary shuttle service to Khao Lak town at 2:00 pm returning at 4:30 pm. The entire staff was very very friendly and always smiling. "Lam" at reception and "Tek" at Terrace restaurant made our stay very comfortable. Since we are vegetarians, our food experience wasn't that great. I think food at Restaurant can do much better. No matter what don't order Pizza or Pasta at the restaurant. Its not worth it. Overall its a great place to relax and enjoy the nature.

Haadson Resort is a perfect place for both a quiet twosome holiday and for a family stay.

The garden and surroundings are very beautiful, and wellkept. Exotic flowers and plants everywhere.

The staff are very friendly, smiley and eager to fulfill every wish you might express.

It was a joy to experience how the whole resort succesfully managed to keep there own standard of using only natures products in every little detail. Very aestetic and inspiring.

I wil recommend Haadson resort two anyone seeking a beautiful holiday in paradise.

Important to say that this is probably not the right location for people scared of geckos, ants etc...as this resort is located virtually in the rain forest, you can always come across these.
However, the room were very clean and the whole resort is also extremely nice and clean. So if you are not scared of things like little geckos and you prefer a calm location, this is a great place.
Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.
the location was a bit remote though - you had to take a taxi to Khao Lak "City". Near the resort there were only 3 simple restaurants - we tried the first one and surprisingly enjoyed some of the best seafood we had during our whole Thailand trip!
Beach is right across the (empty) street from the resort and there are plenty of sunbeds there.
