we stayed there from 28th Dec 08 till 3rd Jan 09.Service is very poor.The staff seemed not to understand English at all.the only consolation we had was they do have a beautiful room.

The staff are not attentive at all..one example they always forgot to top up our shampoo and bath gel.Room service takes more than an hour.

We have to say we have been to Thailand so many times and this is the worst hotel we have stayed in terms of service.

It is very far from Nan thong,the main town.The beach it is not very nice.


We will be back in Thailand but definetely not in this hotel.

My fiancee and I spent a marvelous time at this hotel. We went there during the low season so we had the hotel pretty much to ourselves. The staff were extremely helpful and very nice, I wanted to propose to my fiancee and asked them if they could arrange something to make our room more romantic and they came up with a beautiful floral arrangement at no extra cost.

The pool is absolutely fantastic and has a few jacuzis to help you relax. The room was nice with a big comfortable bed, although the bathtub is Thai-sized so some of the bigger people such as myself can't really use it.

The only problem with the Palm Galleria is that it's pretty far from town and the beach next to it is unusable. There's a free shuttle bus to White Sand Beach (5 minutes away by car, around 1 hour by foot) that leaves at 11 A.M. and takes you back at 5 P.M. so you pretty much have to stay there all day unless you want to walk back. There are also two 50 baht shuttles to Khao Lak in the morning and evening.

I really recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice, quiet, romantic holiday. The staff is quite possibly the nicest hotel staff I have ever met. However, if you absolutely MUST have the beach right next to you, look for another hotel.

Here we go!
Just returned from a fantastic 2 weeks at the P.G. and feel it def derserves a review. / points.

Beautiful quiet resort, yes in a quiet spot but taxis on hand all the time, with a free return shuttle bus twice a day to town, the shuttle bus also takes you 5 mins down the rd to 'White Sands Beach' which is pure beach heaven, white sands, beautiful blue waters, fab palces to eat and drink and only 5 mins away.
The beach outside the resort is yes i agree not great, but if you walk 5 mins either way down the beach it gets better and better, they just have not yet got round to clearing from the awful Ts, but hey they are trying to rebuild their lives so im not complaining, and with white sands a free 5 mins down the rd there is no need to dispair.

The resort itself is quiet and the perfect relax for any couple looking to chill out and spend time together, the staff are so friendly and will try to help you as best as theycan with their broken English, but ther is always somone on reception that is more than capable of speaking English so again i cant really see why people have moaned about this in recent reviews.
Boogie the Manager is happy, helpful and always on hand, what more coud you ask for!

The food at the hotel is fab and pretty reasonable dinner for two adults with a few beers would cost £20 hardly expensive, however if you fancy eating out go into Khao Lak town, free on the bus at 4pm or taxi is 300 baht £4.50 we shared a taxi almost every night so really cheap to get to town.

Rest in Town are Fab, i have to really recomend Phu Khao Lak right at the bottom of town, fab food, the best in town and still only comes in at about £10 for dinner for two adults with a few beers and two courses., must also recommed 'Jais' this is at the closest end of town pretty much where all taxis stop, fab food and cheap but good clean place. Also in town you can eat at a couple of places on the beach, next to the supermarket is a rd, head down there 5 mins walk and you will come to the beach.

If your feelin like you need to go even cheaper then 2 min walk form the hotel is what is know as the 'Shack' and my god is this cheap food, approx £3.50 per head for fab food but it is what is says its not actually a restraunt but worth a try.

So all in all a fab holiday, P G is def worth a stay. X
