For the price, this is an excellent choice for Khao Lak. One draw back is that the resort does not have an ocean view, unlike how some pictures on the web-site may show. It is set back from the ocean with trees that now block the view. If that is not a problem for you, then this is a very good choice for an economical stay.

The manager Boogie was always smiling and helpful. This positive attitude flows downward to his staff. The front desk is very friendly and will try to do whatever it takes to meet your needs. Their regular rooms are very adequate, but we paid a little extra to stay in a suite which is very well worth the extra small cost. They only have a few, so book these rooms early. Being on the second floor gives you a much better view and extra privacy – the suites are all on the second floor and have an outdoor shower which we would always use.

The spa décor was just adequate, but the prices and service were great. They had a very good sized fresh water pool with a good amount of lounge chairs to use. The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced – the same goes with room service. There are a few restaurants within walking distance that were good and inexpensive too. Next door to the resort is a small market where you can stock up on extra water, sodas, beer and snacks. Be careful of the tailor/laundry establishment next to the market. They will constantly pressure you into buying suites and they use a lure of cheap laundry services to get you in. They send your laundry out for someone else to clean and it does not come back when they promise. We had a few things missing and had a few extra items in return.

We took the Similian Island boat tour from the resort which was very nice. The speed boat ride was about 1 ¼ hours each way, but the boat was very stable. For Thailand, the Similian Islands were a great place to snorkel. Although it doesn’t compare well to the South Pacific, we enjoyed it nevertheless.

This resort is not 5 star, nor claims to be. It is a 3+ star establishment that is priced accordingly and for the value, I don’t think you could find anything better in the area.

we stayed there from 28th Dec 08 till 3rd Jan 09.Service is very poor.The staff seemed not to understand English at all.the only consolation we had was they do have a beautiful room.

The staff are not attentive at all..one example they always forgot to top up our shampoo and bath gel.Room service takes more than an hour.

We have to say we have been to Thailand so many times and this is the worst hotel we have stayed in terms of service.

It is very far from Nan thong,the main town.The beach it is not very nice.


We will be back in Thailand but definetely not in this hotel.
