Ocean Breeze staff is wonderful, from their exuberant new chef Felix to the ever-smiling Dar up front, but the owner creeped us out with his attempts to "deal" with all the tips. Rooms are clean and spacious, the outdoor shower a nice touch (except mozzies), and the resort is right on the beach, unlike most. Lots to do around town, but booking with Guest Services Cony was not ideal. We had to research outside (don't do the elephant trek in town, go to Khao Sok), but even then had surprises - cooking school in German...

We stayed here for 4 nights and loved it. The hotel staff welcomed us with cold drinks and towels and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The rooms were spotlessly clean and all close to the beach. The beach itself is very quiet and the sea is rougher than at other beaches we visited in Thailand so there is no possibility of snorkelling. The hotel pool is clean and although on the small side it is very deep so stays cool. We didn't eat at the hotel as it was more expensive than other restaurants on the main road (5 min walk away). If you are looking to get away from it all and peace and tranquility then this is a great place. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed for two weeks over new year, wich was a beatiful night in Thailand. Stayed in a bungalow with one big bed hard as a rock. Beatiful bungalows with simple furnitures. In the hotel restaurang everything was finished, even the whisky. And if they had what you ordered you had to wait for one hour before you got any food. And it was not very good, and the main course was the size of a starter. The staff was very friendly and helpful but everything took very long time. Very small pool, and the new poolchair that arrived was without any pillows so you could not lay in them without pain in your back. And on the beach there was not enough chairs for everybody. We had some nice lunches and dinners at the hotel near by on the beach. The owner claimed that the kitchenchef had left him the day before christmas and he just got a new one a few days before we left. Thank You! We would not recomend this hotel to anyone.

Ocean Breeze is a ok place to stay but during christmas and new years eve overrated, we paid for the beach bungalow about 200 euro per night. Maybe the bungalow was worth it but the hotel wasn't. They couldn't handle the stress during this peak season. The owner told me it had to do with the bad weather which they normally weren't used to during this period.
Because of this they had to move the X-mas and NYE parties to the restaurant instead of what they normally do, at the beach.
The hotel is too small for a huge stage in the middle of the restaurant and because of this they had to move their whole logistics such as buffet, seats and beach beds. Kind of a mess. The beach was too narrow and so the beach beds too close to eachother to fit all in a too little space.
A pro of the Ocean Breeze is the staff, the food and the room was spacy and clean, I loved the outside bathroom having a shower with natural sounds of birds. Be aware you might have some "pets" in your bathroom because it is open.

I would not recommend this hotel in high season, but for low season I think it is a good place to stay. Close to the center and on walking distance of many restaurants.
