Got here after a long break to try some of their great steaks. The place has gotten better with age. Only the crowds have increased.
Tried the Sgt. Pepper Steak - it was delicious, tender and very well cooked. The other dishes we tried included the fish and chips, the country quiche and of course the amazing desserts.
The cherry pie with ice cream and the apple pie with cream were just outstanding. The place filled up within minutes, we got there before 1 PM and got out only at 3 after a lazy lunch. The ambience is just perfect, nestled in a quiet leafy street.
Parking is limited, so go early. The food and drinks are well priced, affordable and the chefs do an outstanding job. They do need to speed up billing though...
