After reading all the tripadvisor comments we decided to book in for a week. It was exactly what I was expecting. A first class dive operation where safety is seen key. The rooms are spacious, quit at night and nothing more or less than you would need after 2 dives a day. Clean showers, soft beds. a tv you are not going to use and wifi to send some jealousy pics to your mates on facebook. Food in the bar at the bottom/ top is great value for money and no runny tummy detected. For the beach lovers you'll need to get up early to beat the adjacent tourist for a front row seat. Many fish seen why snorkeling in the bay including trigger, wrasse, porcupine, etc. missed the resident Moray. THE UPSTAIRS BAR IS THE BEST BUT THE LOCALS (SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF A CROCODILE FISH) ARE JUST TO LAZY TO DO THE 4 FLIGHTS OF STAIRS . We went up one evening and found the place deserted and the next moment a waiter appeared and we had food and drinks to our hearts content ( Best view in Sharm).
Now to the Diving: French and British diving instructors for those who are thinking of doing a course. Two dives a day with three offered if the time allows. All of these are boat dives except for the night dives from the beach. The DM's and crew are top notch. I haven't been diving for a while and wasn't that fit, had a few panic attacks due to my own short comings as I always do but I felt safe at all times. ( Anne picked up on me strait away and made a turn every few minutes to check that I was ok.)
I truly enjoyed the fact that the aim of the game was quality not quantity. They give you the time to explore and to become part of your surroundings. No loud banging of tanks if something cool comes past in the deep, just a unanimous pointing in the direction. I would love to do photography on a dive with Pete. He is as slow as a stone fish and knows the reefs like the back of his hand.
All and All. If the you enjoy being among divers and you enjoy diving holidays with diving as the theme then look no further. I walked past red sea divers, camel divers and the noise would drive you crazy. If I had to return to Sharm and Oona's didn't have a spot... I would not go! The honest truth! I have dived a few spots in the world and this is one i will return too.
