Just to start with, this was a lovely holiday and was well worth the money that we paid for it, some people are just too picky with their holidays!
When we arrived we wasn't taken to the hotel we were originally booked into, we were originally supposed to be going to the sister hotel Sunrise Island Garden Resort, but we were so glad we were taken to this one because the other one was miles away from the beach and everything else.
Booked in & given room keys straight away.
Rooms - Rooms were lovely and clean with it's own little lounge and balcony area. Cleaned daily by the same members of staff and was always done very well. Staff that cleaned were very polite and friendly and didn't mind if we came back when they were cleaning and walked over their mopped floor!!
Food - Food was okay. I'm not one to try new food so I just stuck to the rice and salad, but still ended up getting poorly from it and so did the boyfriend. Everyone was saying the same about how they were poorly from it. The main restaurant was nice, very helpful staff and always got a table when we needed one. We went to a restaurant upstairs where you had to book in, and it was amazing. If you go with a partner it was so romantic and the staff are so much more tentative to you up there. Could order anything you wanted and they just brought it for you. Loved it! Food at the beach bar was basic with burgers, hot dogs and chips, but that's all you needed to get you through to tea. Water bottles were provided everyday for you and there were water re fillers by the side of the pools.
Hotel - Pool areas were lovely. Was always hard to get a sunbed by the main pool, but the others were okay and were hardly any kids about. Bar areas were all lovely even though they pumped the alcohol into the drinks! That's what made me sick! Snooker area was a nice place to chill out and the staff member who worked in there was lovely! He was always showing us tricks etc.. Couldn't ask for nicer staff. Hardly any entertainment on a night though.
Beach - It was gorgeous. Amazing going snorkelling on both jetty's, even though on the 2nd day jellyfish arrived. Saw stingrays and so many lovely fish! Animation team for the first week we were there were so nice and chilled out playing all of the games, but on the second week, new ones came and they were always so giddy and in your face, so that was a bit annoying. Only downside to beach is that you had to walk up 100000 stairs to get back to room!
Naama Bay - Try avoid if you can. We went twice. Once to Hard Rock Cafe and other to Pacha. Hard Rock Cafe was lovely, but had to walk down a street full of people coaxing you into their shops. We spent about £100 before we'd even got to the restaurant, and the same on the way back up. Pacha was a waste of time as well, full of pervy Egyptian men, never again! We ventured 5 minutes down the road into Soho Square. This is such a nice place to chill out and do a bit of no-hassell shopping.
Excursions - Try go on excursions with your holiday rep, we got a good deal with ours - if we bought trip to Cairo & Tiran Island boat ride together, it was discounted. Tiran Island trip was AMAZING! We saw dolphins swimming alongside our boat and that was magical. Apart from that, it was just like swimming off the jetty but the day out was just so relaxing, and food was nice, so was a good day out. We also went to Cairo on the coach, took ages to get there and it wasn't very comfortable either, but was amazing when we got there, even though we got pestered from the minute we stepped off the bus. Was a good day out, but now we've done it, won't do it again. Also, the lady on reception was rubbish, she didn't book our breakfast for the Cairo trip even though we asked her twice.
Would definitely go back to this hotel again, it was lovely and everyone was so nice!
