“Odd one out”

This is the last hotel on the strip in Sharm Bay, so well away from the bustle of Na'ama Bay. The hotel is undergoing a refurb, so it was almost empty when we arrived, but the renovations didn't intrude on our stay (no noisy workmen). We did have to complain about a local pack of dogs barking late into the night at the back of our block, but the security staff did their best to deal with it. The rooms are clean, and will clearly benefit from the refurb. The slightly outdated facilities and nondescript food (although, as expected in the Middle East, the baked goods were great) seemed to suit the cheap & cheerful Russians who seemed to be the main clientele. The beach facilities were rather good, with towels, plungers an mattresses in good repair and s lovely bar. We were visiting on a budget, so felt we got what we paid for. If you're an English-only speaker please be patient with the staff a some are better speakers than others, but they will do their best to look after you

“A good three star hotel - clean and comfortable”

We spent four nights here over Christmas and had a very enjoyable time. The hotel is clean, well kept and we were very comfortable. All the staff were helpful and made sure we had what we needed. The area is much quieter than Naama Bay which we liked. On our first morning we walked out to the beach across the road - the hotel has an area with a beach bar and sun beds - and we went on a glass bottom boat. We saw some spectacular corals and beautiful fish. We loved the area and enjoyed our trip to St Catherine's monastery and a camel ride. We took a taxi over to Naama Bay one evening and it cost very little. It was a real bonus to be somewhere quiet but close to somewhere with more going on. The only downside of our hotel was that some of the food wasn't so good- the bread, cakes and pastries were excellent and the salads were good, but some of the food wasn't as good. On the whole, the hotel and area were good for the price.

“Bute”

Arrived around 9:30pm plate of gruel left in room which was woeful. Hotel full of Russians and Egyptians due to state holiday. Subsequently, spent 3 days fending off hoards of greedy plate filling riff raff. Room very basic and tired looking. Hotel complex (that's a laugh) reminded me of ELs BELLs in Carry On Abroad.Building work started on adjacent property at 7am every morning. 3 nights were filled with blurring beach party music with coach loads shipped in. Went on from 12am til 3am. Restaurant food was a lottery, we all won the jack pot first prize of disentry at some point during our stay. The bar staff managed to compete with the almighty by turning wine into water. Parts of hotel facilities which are advertised have been run down and shut. There are no snacks available as implied in the advert. The gardens around the pool are weed and cat infested. Staff try but they are fighting a losing battle considering the policies of the hotel owners. Stackum! Packum! and Rackum!

“DIVE but no colourful fish”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 June 2011

Stayed 10 days, only a few rooms occupied. On arrival late so missed meal and bar closed- they reopened bar for 2 drinks each and had food in the room.
Room big enough, had fridge with water, bed firm but ok, TV, Bath shower cracked and stained, otherwise clean with air con working.

Food very poor, no variety, cold food, tasteless, tables no cloth and service for drinks slow. pizza to pay next door or on beach.
Pool apeared not cleaned or 'fillters changed/cleaned, shower dirty. pool bar only sometimes staffed. Beach towels & loungers OK

Beach Sandy gentile slope for kids some fish, drinks bar, water sports & trips, massage good. Location beach across road from hotel, within walking distance to old town. only real plus point.
Hotel facilities; no internet working- no air con in main bar- disco/ games (pool) run down- no entertainment or animation- bugs in rooms- low water pressure & brown water in bathroom - AI ended at 10pm but drinks ok - pool small- gardens well kept . some staff very helpfull but not all. - hot countries have bugs but caught 2 cockroaches in the room over holiday.

Not CHIC but neither homely >>old, dated and way past it's sell by.

A new wing is being built due open in 3 years.
This hotel is NOT recommended for any Brits Stayed in much better 4 star hotels in sharm.
Tip; Visit Soho Square one night >> Ice Bar >Ice Skate> Duty Free> Fine Dinning> Musical fountains> Shows> Shops & Bars

I spent my honeymoon with my Norwegian husband in this amazing hotel in September 2010 , it was my first time in Sharm El Shiekh , but I really want to say that the stuff was really amazing & helpful , they even helped us with to organize a nice program during our stay with very good prices , the food was not bad at all , we did not have any stomach problems even my non Egyptian husband did not have any problems so i am surprised with the people who complain about the food , the bed sheets were changed everyday with the bathroom towels without us even ordering that , the beach party was really amazing , the shisha in the cafe in the hotel was really good & the price was lower than we expected , the beach is ok , there are 2 of them , one u have to get a bus to go there & the other is very close , the location is really special as you are close to many restaurants and the Old market , the Egyptian restaurant in the old Market is more than amazing , I recommend it to everyone , Finally me & my husband are really looking forward to go there again.
