We had a rest in Domina Hotel and Resort El Sultan 5* in the end of December above 7 days. The basic idea of a trip was to sunbathe and go on excursion to Israel. We were in Egypt before there 5 times the basic sights of Egypt have visited and not once in last trips.
In plans there were Alexandria, Lake Nasser and Abu Simbel temples . Some years ago we already were in Domina Coral Bay King's Lake. We were delighted with last visiting Coral Bay King's Lake simply (summer, all inclusive with visiting of all restaurants, free using an electromobile, free daily visiting of enormous Jacuzzis and steam rooms). Now even in Coral Bay King's Lake doesn’t remain a former privilege. However the hotel remained in a category where it is possible to go. Three pontoons, on a beach the Sultan diving – the center, evening musicals on Arena, huge territory of hotel, good animation for Egypt, its gulf (extent about 2 km with the big sandy beach) serious arguments in favor of hotel. But I had now a main point - safety. Were just during this period when it has been closed for bathing because of threat of sharks. I in last summer visiting of Egypt, in days free from excursions till some hours spent in Red Sea. We swam away far from coast (in Hurghada on 200 - 400 meters from coast). Such careless, "safe" Red Sea any more won't be when.

We had the most pleasurable experience when my family took our holiday in Sharm El Sheikh and we stayed at the Domina Coral Bay Hotel Sultan. The check in was done quickly and most efficiently. When we were taken to our room, there was a lovely clean room. There was a huge range of restaurants to choose from we tried them all. The evening entertainment was on another level. Great entertainment and shopping. We have had the best holiday as a family we ever had as the children were well catered for with the kids club and the playground. Great holiday.

We have stayed at the Domina Coral Bay Aquamarine at least once, sometimes twice a year since 2007. This year we thought we treat ourselves and pay the extra and stay at the El Sultan, what a dissapointment.

Although the standard at the El Sultan is supposed to be superior, it was not, what a let down. Then the food, it was atrocious, not matter what time you went for a meal, the food was always cold, never cooked properly, same s--t, different day. My partner ended up spending four of the seven days in bed with food poisening.

To anyone thinking of staying at the El Sultan, my advice is DO NOT.

The accomodation was good, with a big bed, air conditioned, as well as your own terrace/balcony, there are many pools , bars and the private beach is gorgeous, that we hardly spent any time at all in the room. We found the staff to be very friendly, and once you got to know them they'd bend over backwards to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel gives you a sheet informing you where you can eat and drink on all inclusive. Snorkelling is a must, and the Desert dinner was a lovely thing to do as well. We will be returning this hotel
