We loved this hotel. It is very clean and modern and in an excellent location. Just a short walk from the hotel is a good shopping centre with a Quicksilver, Banana Moon, various sports shops and a range of places to eat including a couple of Italians, a fish restaurant and a Chinese. There are also a fair few fast food outlets like Starbucks, McDonalds, KFC and Costa. Also, close to the hotel is a mini Naama Bay with shops selling Shisha pipes, papyrus etc. You get more hassle in this area than the more modern shopping centre but it's still worth a look.

We stayed B&B in this hotel and the breakfasts were great with a huge selection of breads, pastries and freshly made omlettes and scrambled eggs. We didn't bother with the all inclusive option as it was very cheap to eat outside the hotel. We could get a good quality two course meal for two people for between £15-£20.

The main pool at the hotel is very nice and we were able to get a couple of sunbeds without much trouble everyday. We spent most of our time at the pool as the beach is quite small. The only annoying thing was the staff who came around the pool every day selling massages and beauty treatments. They were always pestering us even after we'd booked a spa treatment.!

The rooms are great - large with expensive marble bathrooms. We also had a very comforable superking bed.

Overall we had an great holiday and will be returning in November to the same hotel when it's a bit cooler so we can see the sights (Valley of the Kings and Pyramids) which we missed this time due to the heat (over 40 degrees most days). We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a quiet holiday but with shops and cafes close by for a wander in the evening.

Here we go stayed at the royal grand sharm from the 2nd to 17th june found the hotel very clean.Service exellent, Staff friendly,food very good and lots of choice, lots of fresh food (salards fruit ect) 5 star treatment ,the only negative about the hotel is there is not a lot of brits loads of italians about 80% the other 20% are mixed they are no bother just a bit noisy , The booze is ok not very strong but just ask for a double The sea is 27degrees and fullof fantastic fish better than any fish tank ,Outside the hotel there is a lot of shop owner who try to get you to spend your money in there shop if you want to or not can be a bit of a pain after 2 weeks you get a bit sick of hello my friend where are you from just see there face light up if you say england they know the brits are well polite and some of us hate to say no they call us the nodding english because we always say yes please no thank you ect. Give the jeep safari a miss the jeep sits 6 adults 8 at a push but they squeeze 10 in plus 2 staff no air-con 40 odd degrees 2.5 hours each way not very nice but all of the other local trips are spot on, exchange your money out there for a better rate one last thing beware its red hot 40 degrees during the day we where in narma bay at 12.30am and it was stii 35 degrees

we have been to this hotel twice now and itsa brill. we love it. the entertainment at night was good but the disco was sad!!!!!!!! but we made our own entertainment and had a larf with everyone. holidays are what you make them ok !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we are going again this year and can not w8 ! the staff are funny and so lovely the place is clean and food is fattin and gawjus yummy Iberotel Grand we love you see you in october ok xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Having been to Sharm El Sheikh before and having stopped at a lesser hotel we thought we would spoil ourselves. I would just like to say that my wife and I had a truly marvellous holiday here The standard of the hotel was very good, we had a splendid room looking across the pools to the sea.
The food was great, just being british you have to get used to some people that cannot queue. But it was not a problem at all, there was plenty of food.
Around the pool was very relaxing, and you got the occassional high jinks from the poolside staff, all very good fun.
The entertainment was enjoyable, and not far from the hotel is a new shopping area that we walked over to. Whilst there we enjoyed watching local dancing etc.
We met a great couple there Mandy and Carl, and we ventured to Naama bay where we had a lovely meal overlooking the nightlife. Later we tried a Hubba Bubba, having never tried anything like this we had a real laugh.
We loved this holiday and would return to this hotel.
