Our holiday was from 3/12/11. After we had booked we read some awful reviews about this hotel, we were very concerned. However, we need not to have worried, it was beautiful! All the staff were extremely polite and helpful. The hotel was kept spotlessly clean and was very grand. Our room as well was quiet and kept spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable, excellent air conditioning. We had a great view of the sea and the coastline from a spacious balcony, very pretty at night. The swimming pools and sumptuous surrounding gardens were kept immaculate. We thought the food was quite good too. The desserts were wonderful. The restaurant and each table were kept very clean. The staff...excellent! a very happy lot. Plenty of sunbeds and plenty of room to move around. The waiters at the bars were friendly. The beach was kept extremely clean. I would recommend this hotel. We would definitely go again. Very good value for money. Happy memories.

This was our second visit to this hotel, the first was in Feb/March at the end of the troubles, the main attraction for us and our friends to go back is the private beach and the snorkeling which is great even the dive boats that you pay a fortune for a day trip come and anchor in the bay.
The hotel is not a UK 5star but this is EGYPT and it is value for the money if you want a UK 5star hotel in Egypt you will pay more than double.
The staff always have a smile and a joke and can`t do enough for you but when you see the way that some of the guest treat them some Brits as well as the majority of the Russians I`m supprised that any of them have a smile.
While we were there a new executive chef was appointed (Ahmed Ibrahim) who made changes daily to the original menu until all of the food was to his own menu and we all found the food OK, other guests that we spoke to said that although some things were not to there taste they could always find something that they enjoyed.
We made some good friends amongst the staff while there, especially in the restaurant, bars and the life guards. We are also looking to be going back in March 2012.

You can tell once upon a time this hotel was 5 star, but no more. Its lucky if its a 3. Very tired everywhere. The food is terrible, and I'm not a fussy person. The drinks are served in tiny cups and you can only get two cups at once. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful. The russians are a real pain in the neck, very very rude. the view from the hotel is lovely and we had a sea view the beach is ok, and i love beachcombing and its amazing for that. the snorkeling is outta this world and saw some beautiful fish, and a moray eel free swimming, just beneath me. i got out quick!!!! but soon returned the same day. :) We had a lovely holiday though, despite the poor food.

We just came back from a four day trip to Sharm el Shiek and it wasn’t our first…I was shocked by the food in the main restaurant of the hotel (crappy food),the restaurant is not clean at all and it’s smell disgust you,,, as for room service, it wasn’t so good as well.. They forgot to clean our room on the third day or bring us clean towels though we were out most of the day and they had plenty of time to do that.
