“lovely hotel would go back”

Recently back from the Sultan Gardens Resort, what a great holiday the food was excellent and the staff couldnt do enough for us and always happy. No funny tummy and rooms large and well presented did not realise there was tea and coffee making facilities so that was pleasent suprise. All the staff from the pool staff to the animation staff were polite and eager to make the holiday as enjoyable as possible.Lots to do from water polo to belly dancing. The drinks were plentiful and the surroundings/ gardens were mature and very pretty. Would recomend the glass bottom boat trip and speed boat out to the boat was brill. The room cleaner was lovely and we had fresh towels daily and bottled water in room every day. If there was a down side its that some of the resort was a little tired looking, but they are in the process of refurbishing. A bit of a walk and plenty of steps get to main areas , but there was a bus that went around the resort.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground room as there are enough steps around the resort without adding more.

“all round excellence yet again at sultan gardens”

We returned for a second successive year to this super hotel. It scores very highly in so many respects; cleanliness, quality of accommodation and surroundings/buildings in general, and the choice/quality of the food. However the key for us is the attitude and behaviour of the staff, whether they be the cleaners, gardeners, receptionists, waiters, chefs, entertainments team and senior managers. They are all so pleasant, polite and helpful, eager to ensure you have the best possible time there. What is particularly impressive is the number of familiar faces on the staff which indicates high rates of staff retention, always a good indicator of a successful hotel. It certainly encourages us to return again next year.

“Good hotel and excellent value for money”

My wife and I spent a week at the Sultan Gardens in early February, returning yesterday. I must say that we were pleasantly surprised as our previous visit to Egypt (Taba Heights) a few years ago was a big disappointment.

Our holiday started badly with a seven hour delay at Gatwick on our Thomas Cook flight. At the time of booking I had arranged a transfer on the hotel shuttle bus from the airport and in view of our delay emailed them from Gatwick to advise them that we would be late. We arrived at Sharm airport fed up and tired but this soon changed when we were greeted by the smiling shuttle bus driver holding a board with our name on it. Upon arriving at the hotel at 11.30 pm they had also kept open the restaurant for us. What excellent service.

The hotel is very clean, the staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in a Junior Suite and although not yet refurbished, for the amount of time we actually spent in the room this was not a problem to us. An ongoing refurbishment programme is under way and is needed as some parts of the resort are looking tired. However, this did not in any way affect our holiday.

We only used the heated pool (No.1 quiet pool) and both Ali and Mohammed looked after us well together with the pool bar staff who made sure we had a frequent supply of drinks as and when required.

Food was generally very good and you could always find something to your taste. You must remember that the hotel is catering for a number of different nationalities and as such they provide a wide choice. We did attend the Italian restaurant (Casa Mia) one evening and this is included in the AI package and was very good. In addition we had a very good lunch one day at the Fish Market restaurant (additional 10 Euros each) and this was excellent value for three courses.

We attended the evening entertainment at the amphitheatre twice and would recommend seeing the Chinese acrobat show as this was excellent.

Overall, the Sultan Gardens provides excellent value for money. Its staff are its major credit and we would highly recommend the hotel and will definitely consider returning.

“Great hotel with brilliant staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

This was our first visit to Sharm El Sheikh so was a bit apprehensive as to what we would find but upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted with very friendly and helpful staff. I requested a sea view room and was granted it albeit it was at the bottom of the steep hill but this didn't phase us as the hotel runs a shuttle bus (Taf Taf) to and from your rooms frequently or otherwise if you request it.

All the staff at the Sultan Gardens Resort are very friendly and very helpful indeed, nothing was too much trouble for them especially Ali from the "quiet" swimming pool.

We had a couple of minor issues with our room initially i.e the kettle didn't work and the curtains had come off the rail in a few places but these were rectified within a couple of hours of informing the reception.

This resort was great especially the choice of swimming pools, including the "quiet" pool which was heated and no children allowed, there was a children friendly pool accommodating a water slide this was also heated and there was another two huge pools but not heated during the winter months but great for just sunbathing.

Overall it was a very enjoyable holiday and we will certainly return to the Sultan Gardens and maybe next time we will have one of the refurbished rooms.

Room Tip: Request a refurbished room and preferably on the 2nd / 3rd floor with a sea view
