Have just returned from 2 weeks at this most amazing hotel.Having stayed in other hotels in sharm before this was the best,exceeding my expectations in ever way possible.
As a single female traveler i was made to feel very special from the moment i checked in.The service and pleasent staff where excellent in all areas of this hotel.
The food ,pool,spa beach and room all excellent,will difinitely be going back to this hotel.

Yesterday my girlfriend and I returned from what must been the best hotel experience in our life so far.

I booked this hotel in August 2011 when it was ranked as number two here at Tripadvisor, and I believe this hotel soon will be back where it belongs - at the top. It is not "an egyptian" 5 star hotel, but it is truly a 5 star hotel by all means! I really dont understand those that doesnt rate this as top notch. My girlfriend and I have been travelling at 4 and 5 stars hotels in places like Miami, Venice, London and Istanbul, and this hotel beat all of them! The service level at Stella Di Mare even outperform the suite experience with Royal Caribbean in my opinon.

Let me start with the one thing that makes this hotel really to stand out: Its employees. The manager of Stella Di Mare should be very proud of this staff! Absolutely fantastic! Friendly and service-oriented to the fingertips. We had a tiny issue in the ala carte restaurant one of the evenings, and the assistant manager of food and beverages and his staff fixed it and pampered my girlfriend and me to a point it almost got embarrasing. This show that this hotel really care about the wellness of its guests. Let me also especially point of the superb service level in the ala care restaurant La Scogliera.The food here was ridiculous good!

It is so many details that makes this hotel exeptional, and it is impossible for me to mention all of them. The laundry service, the beds (I almost didnt want to leave the bed..), the spa pool area, and the free shuttle buss service to and from the center of Naama Bay - to mention some of the details.

Food: Many of Tripadvisors readers is concerned about the food. Dear fellow travellers: Do not worry about this at Stella Di Mare! If you go with the AI package as we did, then the food will not disappoint you. Some persons points out that they got a bit bored with the buffet food in the La Terrazza restaurant, and to those the answer must be: Why dont you try one of the other great dining venues this hotel has to offer? In the AI package you got, beside the La Terrazza, the Corallo Rosso (Mediterranean set-menu), La Scogliera (asian set-menu) and of course the beach bar (great burger, and a nice lunch alternative). Enjoy all the venues! The food at La Scogliera was out of this world, and the restaurant is quite romantic..

Guests: yes, it was russian guests at the hotel - together with scandinavians like me (Im norwegian, living and working in Riga, Latvia), brits and italians. We had not a single negative experience with any of the russian guests. Actually, the most noisy guests was two norwegian families and a gang of british females in the age around 35+. In general, it was quiet and a very nice atmosphere. This hotel is for those that want a relaxing time. I would not recommend it to those that is seeking a week with hard parties!

Room: Our room was a deluxe room (1081) in one of the villas. More than enough space, quiet (did not hear a sound from Naama Bay or the pools), wonderful soft beds, very clean and well equipped. The sea view was limited, but it didnt bother us since we hardly used any time on the balcony anyway. Soft drinks from the mini bar is included if you go AI.

All in all we had a great vacation, and this hotel is one of the main reason why our vacation was as good as it was.

We, like other reviewers, booked this hotel when it was ranked #3 and had some concerns when we saw that it had gone down to #5 along with some recent negative reviews, however we were very, very impressed with this hotel.
The staff are amazing - very attentive and very polite from the serving staff, the pool attendant (thank you Bob) and even a maintenance guy who assisted us when we got lost. The grounds are stunning and very well maintained. The food was great (and I am picky). Our room was lovely with a huge king sized bed (a little too soft for our liking), and we loved our towel elephant. The spa was wonderful, we did not have any treatments but did make use of the sauna, steam room, turkish bath and large outdoor jet pool.
We stayed all inclusive, and for us it was a great choice. There are 3 restaurants plus a pool bar and beach bar, which are a good option for lunch. One restuarant is mainly a buffet set up for all meals whilst the other 2 offer a 25% discount to their al la carte menu to AI customers, however they also offer a set menu which is included in the AI option. The restaurants do need to promote their set menus more as we know other AI holiday makers were not aware this was included.
I think the management have been working to address some of the issues / concerns raised by previous reviewers eg we were not asked to upgrade our room at check in and were not asked to sign for our arrival drink so did not have to provide a room number.
All in all we had a very relaxing stay and felt thoroughly looked after.

Just returned after a 7 night bed and breakfast stay at Stella Di Mare.

We had a lovely spacious room with fantastic views across the bay. The room was cleaned every day to a very high standard and towels and bed linen was changed daily. The hotel grounds and pools are magnificent and the staff are very friendly and attentive to all your needs.The men who look after the sunbathing areas are all great but of particular note is the excellent service we received from Ehab Hamdy. Despite his work load setting out the towels for the sunbeds and periodically supplying free beakers of water and pieces fruit etc, he took time to talk to guests. A charming and intelligent young man he displayed every attribute to a very high standard that you desire in an hotel employee. Another employee worthy of mention, also working in the sunbathing area, is Muhammad. Always very friendly and attentive he went out of his way to show us the various types of fish swimming by jetty.

Breakfast was a treat to have, especially sitting in the sun by the main pool. The pool food was also very tasty. However, the downside for us was the evening meals. We had deliberately booked bed and breakfast to avoid the half board type evening meals which are rarely worth having in Egyptian hotels. We assumed that paying for our evening meals at the hotel would give us good quality food. Big mistake. We tried all of the restaurants and the food in all three was very disappointing for the price charged. One fish meal made one of us ill and ruined our evening. Another, T bone steak, was almost inedible. We would recommend that if you are on a bed and breakfast basis do not eat dinner at the hotel. We had a meal at the Bombay Indian Restaurant in Soho Square and it was fabulous. Given that this hotel is a gem, it is a real shame to have to make an adverse comment about the food. However, as a premier hotel it should have better standards in this important area.

I would recommend this hotel but personally I would only go back if the quality of the evening food was significantly improved.
