The hotel is nice and clean but it's the staff that make it great. Unfailingly happy and helpful (apart from the rather stressed receptionist who 'welcomed' us) they were great with our 2 y/o son.
The food is a bit 'samey'- we were there for a week and I'm not sure we could have survived for 2! Two restaurants were closed for refurbishment during our stay and there was further work being done too. It was very discreet though and we barely noticed. We found that sitting in the Tagine restaurant was best- you could also access the food from the Mediterranean restaurant too which combined the two best eateries in our opinion.
Watch out for Russians though- they abound here and seem rather impolite to say the least. Our first experience of this was at the very busy airport where every single Russian pushed through the enormous queues and ignored repeated protests. This behaviour continued in the restaurant queues too.
Be warned- it took us 2 hrs to exit the airport- we travelled on a Friday and it was particularly busy. Also, we hadn't been advised of the entry visa charge. It was just good luck that we had enough Egyptian pounds to get through (E£130 pp). To have to queue and then be told to go to the ATM to get money out and join the back of the queue again would be soul- destroying! They do take sterling and euros too.
All in all it's a great hotel with lots to do and with really helpful and friendly staff.
