“Excellent .. Excellent .. Excellent”

Excellent place to relax and forget noise, crowd and pollution. Two types of rooms, are available, bungalows on the lagoon are slightly more expensive, and hotel rooms. All rooms are wide and well designed with simplicity. The swimming pool is clean but cold at this time of the year. Restaurant is stuffed with plenty of food. Staff is eager to help and preserve tourism in Egypt in this moment of politics and change. The location is somehow small, the nightlife is limited but is fully available with any shopping at AlGouna city on the other side of the lagoon at 5 minutes walk distance. Free shuttle boats to Zeitoona beach are moving every top of the hour. It is a wonderful place, different and worth it.

Room Tip: Night life is wide at AlGouna city on the other side of the lagoon. Beach is available for free at Z...

First time I have written a review but felt that this resort deserved praise. We have just returned after spending a great week in a bungalow with a lagoon view. I thought it was brilliant. Better than I expected. Thought the resort was great value for money. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We would like to thank Zobbi (not sure of spelling) for looking after us. If we did have a problem he dealt with it really quickly. The food was ok. Plenty of choice although a little repetitive. Loved El Gouna - really green and pretty compared with other parts of Egypt. The only downside was the weather. There was a cold breeze most of the time
which was a shock as we had visited Sharm in Jan 2010 and the weather was hot.
We definitely plan to return again in Sept/Oct this year if we can get a bungalow.

Room Tip: Cannot comment on rooms as we had a bungalow which was great.

“A restful Break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

I was part of a group of six who went there for three weeks in November. We stayed in the bungalows. I was mildly apprehensive having read some of the more negative reviews by previous visitors. What we found was delightful helpful staff, food that varied from the good to the excellent and very comfortable accommodation. We are not the most active of people so the relaxed atmosphere of the place fitted the bill. There is a lovely pool on site or as an alternative one can take the boat (or walk) to the beach where the same helpful staff served food and drinks. We went snorkelling (on the coldest day of the holiday), did the hour-long boat trip around El Gouna, took in the 45 minute film at the library of Egyptian history, toured the museum and wandered around "Downtown" including a very different Irish Pub (to be avoided). Were some of the concerns raised by other visitors justified? If I was in the fault-finding mode, I am sure I could provide a list but for us this was a very positive experience and we will be back.

Room Tip: I think we had bungalow 510 - it was fine.

“Thank You”

My husband and I have just returned from another brilliant holiday at this hotel.
Panorama is set on the side of a lagoon with far reaching views over the bay I have written about the bungalows before and just can't rave enough about them for people who can't afford the Maldives this was the next best thing. We have travelled to many countries from Spain to Sri Lanka but the reception that you are given at Panorama is far the best I have ever had. It's a shame that More English don't visit as the Egyptions treat you like royalty El Gouna has everything to offer by way of restaurants Thai Indian Mexican Pizza Chinese all of which serve fantastic food and very cheap to eat out.
The resort was so quiet it appears people are worried about it being safe well I felt safer than in many places in England security is second to none. No trouble at all anywhere
The hotel offers a Beauty salon health spa mini mart perfume shop and a jewellers all of which genuine service is given. Blue sky and crystal blue water surrounds and is seen from all angles. I would just like to finish by saying that the staff and Manager cannot do enough to make your holiday enjoyable.
Thank you again Mohammed, Bahaa
Hossan all the kitchen and waiting staff Bikhet Captain that is ,Jimmy your music and dancing brilliant and Alaaa who entertained us every evening with his hilarious personality Ahmed and the domestic staff who changed our bed EVERY day and gave us clean towels just everyone made our holiday just amazing felt like a second honeymoon seriously people try this hotel bet you go back we will.

“Good location mid way between Hugara and El-Gouna”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

Let's start with the negative, rooms really need updating, house keeping is questionable, food is OK and the shower runs hot then cold and was difficult to regulate.
Would I go back...... Yes
The pool bar staff were great, pool boy Arymin wonderful, they made you feel really at home and looked after you.
Things I would recommend
Go snorkelling in the red sea (day trip cost £25 each) great value and if you like Finding Nemo you can swim with hundreds of his friends.
go to Hurgharda Downtown but be prepared to haggle like you have never haggled before. A taxi firm here into town costs around £25egyptian, about £2.50 english but agree price before hand. They will take you to "their friends" shop so ask them to drop you off at Macdonalds that way you do not have to go throughout the rigmarole at their friends place.
All Egyptians have a hobby they all smoke every where, airports, bars, street, resturaunts etc
Enjoy and emerge in the culture
