Built of coloured stone around a large central pool. Sweeping staircaises and large potted palms gives the place an air of opulence. Each room has it's own balcony overlooking the pool. The rooms are nicely decorated but in a state of disrepair. In our room none of the doors worked properly, the taps in the bathroom basin were broken and the lock on the room door was close to falling apart. The staff were helpful and there was a free internet computer in the lobby. Breakfast was very good with cornflakes, toast, olives, yoghurt, cucumber, tomato, eggs and a few local dishes to try as well as unlimited tea and coffee. Overall a nice experience.

We stayed here at Christmas 2007. The pool area and reception is nice and clean. We had a downstairs room with a balcony overlooking the pool. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. It had enough wardrobe space, a tv and fridge. The bathroom was a bit tired and had a green gloss painted door that made it look a bit like an outhouse.
The breakfast room was also a bit tired and the breakfasts were ok if you got there early enough (nice coffee and omelettes). The staff were polite and they arranged transport to and from the airport, which was on time and a reasonable cost.
The location is great, only 5 minutes to the shops and restaurants of which there are plenty. Despite worries about the food it was all good and plentiful if you stick to the local fare. I don't recommend the Italian Restaurant. The Nessima Resort does an excellent fillet steak for about £7, and it has a great bar with a lovely bar man. Dahab is typically Eqyption and looks a bit run down in places. There's not much to do here if you don't like snorkelling or scuba diving unless you go on organised trips. If you do like diving/snorkelling I would definately come. The red sea is amazing for both.

beautifully renovated hotel with everything you can wish for. Clean, nice rooms, friendly staff, big pool, great location. Just outside of the noisy part and therefore quiet, but only 5 minutes to walk to where the action is. Will have a new professional diving center from October. If you want to stay in Dahab, and not outside in one of those big "cemeteries in the desert", from where you need a taxi everytime you want to go into town, this is the place to book.
