I'll make this short. The hotel location and cleanliness is wonderful. The rooms and food are first rate. However what made my stay perfect are the staff. I have been lucky to stay in very nice, 5 Star places all over the world and have never experienced such a 5 Star staff. My Spanish is very bad however I (alone) stayed at the Royal, traveled all over the area for 7 days and had a perfect vacation. All I had to do was hint and they went out of the way to make my stay an experience I will never forget. I will be back soon.

I've stayed at the Royal on 3 separate occasions. It's a top choice in El Poblado. The staff are helpful and friendly, they even let me play the grand piano. The rooms are great, big comfortable beds, fantastic views from the top rooms. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty. You can eat inside, or out on the nice patio.

I paid about $90 a night and felt it was exceptionally good value. I'll stay here the next time I'm in Medellin.

The hotel does have a bit of a business feel, so you may not want to stay for more than a couple of nights. That said, great for a good rest.

We had to change our hotel in Medellin from another hotel and booked this hotel. We stayed here only 1 night. The hotel itselfs seems really nice and things are new...so this is a new hotel....the lobby and everything looks really cool... the room we got (superior) was fine... the bathroom could be a bit bigger.... main problem in our room was the noise from outside the street.

I believe we received a room where the window was not able to close properly and thats why you could hear every car down there...we did not really complain about it because we were happy that it was MORE quiet then the other hotel we moved out from...

I addressed that problem at checkout and they seemed taking care of this problem... can't judge how it was in the other rooms.

Breakfast was big, but OK... Nothing too excited but also not too bad..

Overall, i can recommend this hotel if you are looking for a new and clean hotel!

Better then some of the other rated hotels for Medellin here....

Great business hotel in Medellin. Clean, large, comfortable rooms; breakfast included with the rate. Bar service off the lobby. Friendly staff. 135 rooms and some meeting space, but not a lot. Would say largest group could be 50-60 ppl. Breakfast held outside. Found Medellin to be a very friendly city. Hotel is also located close to a large mall. I would definitely return.
