If you are coming from especially from Europe, breakfast can be a headache for you in hotels in China.In Nikko you do not have to worry about it at all..

Although it claims to be a five star hotel, it is hard to see it fitting into that category. While check in and out is very efficient, that is about the start and the end of the hotel's charms. I was upgraded to the executive floor and the room was just pretty average (although the view was great!). Don't get me wrong, they try hard. There was fruit in the room and the towels were great. But much of the rest was a bit dated from the CRT TV (kind of small) to a cramped desk- although if you don't have a computer, they have one on it for you to use.

The breakfast buffet (in terms of food quality and prep) was one of the worst I've had in a hotel of this class and with a large smoking section, breakfast is hardly a clean air affair.

The rest of the hotel just feels very much without spirit or energy- the pieces are in place but everyone seems to just be going through the motions.

This is a very elegant hotel, everything well-kept, kind of a boutique-style hotel. Artfully lightning in the hallways and rooms, comfortable and large bathrooms. Located near Zhongshan Square, a convenience store just in the next street. Checkin and checkout was fast. I had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant, food was ok.
I definitely would go there again.

Good hotel , nice city, fast internet connection, good TV programme, good for business purpose only.
Nominal rate good food good environment
only problem is there is no help to trasfer the luggage from the reception to your room and back
