The hotel is not in the city center and although you can walk to almost anywhere in Dalian from there it is nearly impossible to cross the road without risking to be run over by cars that would not even slow down let alone stop at the pedestrian crossing. The hotel is Japanese owned with matching attentive service. Our room was large, very clean with city views, and was serviced twice daily. There was a foot massage machine in the room which we used a couple of times only to be told at the checkout that it was not free but cost $8 every time - a definite ripoff. The buffet style restaurant serves a variety of foods -chinese, japanese and western style, all quite delicious. No free internet adn the business centre charged A$15 for 15 minutes internet and $2/page printing. Its a nice enough hotel but too expensive for what it is.
