One thing comes to memory. Our family had 3 adults and 3 children, this was our first trip to Nanchang. We took a taxi to the Walmart and got stuck in a huge thunderstorm. I couldn't get a taxi with my limited Mandarin, let alone two of them to get everyone back to the hotel. We called the hotel front desk and they seemed to understand our situation. They sent a couple bellboys in taxis to come get us. We were all soaked, but those who came to help us where always smiling. They made our stay feel like home.

I was not sure what to expect when I booked a hotel with a strange name but a couple of reviews, plus its relative proximity (about 600 metes) from the railway station, helped me decide to choose this one.
Any comments about this hotel have to be made against the backdrop of the city of Nanchang. Few westerners visit the city and it is definitely not on the western tourist trail. However, despite this, the hotel had a western restaurant, western breakfasts, and the staff spoke English. The rooms were large by Asian hotel standards and the beds, while harder than most western hotels, were comfortable. Bottled water was provided (you would not want to drink the local stuff) and we were able to obtain a non-smoking room. It is a relatively modern, large hotel with air-conditioned rooms and, in terms of Australian dollars (and probably most western currencies) was very good value for money. The hotel will provide a car service (not free) to the airport - allow at least an hour because of the chaotic traffic. If you are a westerner needing to stay in Nanchang I would recommend this hotel.

It was a surprise to stay at this hotel to begin with. Originally this hotel was chosen for the great food that it can cook up. But after we found out that we were to check in and stay for 2 nights, we were pleasantly surprised.

Very good customer service especially by Western standards. The customer service starts when you enter the hotel. The rooms were spacious and relatively clean. However, we found the bathroom can do with more cleaning. The shower was excellent with therapeutic shower heads for the waist and back. So relaxing. Overall the rooms were comfortable and you will have a good stay here.

The only negative thing I can find for this hotel was the fact that we couldnt work out how to use the in-room safe. It just didnt work. Otherwise no complaints.

One of the more hard to judge hotels. Software and hardware are good, rooms large with separate shower, all TV stations like CNN, BBC etc, movie channels etc. Internet I did not try. Electric plugs are quite close to the bed, but you will need an extension cord.
Breakfast was good, with cheese and salami.
It is good, but somehow everything feels slightly dirty. I am quite sure it is clean, but you do not have a clean feeling.
I still call it "very good", but not whole heartedly.
It takes about an hour from the airport to the hotel and if you have to work outside of the city, maybe another hotel is more convenient for you.
